Do not buy a vehicle from this establishment. They just "fix" messed up cars and sell them as 'like-new' . AC went out on the vehicle within a year. Engine misfiring under 100k miles despite regular maintenance. Was promised that minor repairs the car needed at purchase would be taken care of by the dealership (chipped paint on hood, minor body damage, parts of the cabin area) ; that was never done. Not happy to have problems with a car Im already paying an astronomical interest rate for. Car Max is not the dealership Id recommend.

We went to CarMax after visiting a different dealership. The sales person was so nice and helpful! I was a little disappointed that customers could put a car on hold and no one else could look at it or test drive it. But finally we found a vehicle that was not on hold and was just what we where looking for!!!

If you’re new to car buying, I highly recommend Carmax. I’ve never bought a car before, and on a whim I was looking at cars on Carmax to see what was potentially available. I wasn’t even planning on buying a car, but I came across a car that I really liked. However, the car was in Birmingham. I ultimately decided to have the car shipped to Pensacola for $99 so I could look at it and test drive it. When you have an order for shipping a car to your local dealership, the website will provide you a timeframe of when the vehicle will likely arrive, and they will notify you/send you updates on the whole process. My car arrived in 3 days, and I set an appointment to test drive the car once it arrived in Pensacola. For all of the necessary paperwork for car buying, I got everything done online by providing what they needed such as; my driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a selfie of me so they could verify that my driver’s license was valid. I answered most of the necessary questions over the phone before my appointment, so that way I didn’t have to answer them at the dealership. I got an auto loan pre-approved with my credit union online as well. I didn’t have to provide documentation for my car loan until the day that I bought the car. I just had to tell them that I was financing through my credit union. The day that I wanted to test drive the car, I went to the credit union to pick up my check for the amount of money that I wanted to put down on the car, and the auto loan check, then I went to the dealership, test drove the car and loved it, signed a few papers, then the car was mine! I also got my tags and vehicle registration done at Carmax, so I didn’t have to go to the DMV afterwards. This whole process probably only took about an hour, and there wasn’t too much waiting around. I’d say the longest part of the whole process was waiting for the tags and vehicle registration and that didn’t even take long at all. After you buy your car, you are covered on a warranty, so if something on the car breaks, you’re covered. If you decide that you don’t like the car, depending on how long you’ve had the car, you can return it. This warranty was helpful because I couldn’t get my trunk to open, and I took it to Carmax to see if they could figure out what the issue was and they got it fixed for me. There was nothing wrong with the trunk lid, someone had just tampered with it to where it couldn’t open. But Carmax got everything situated for me, and I’m really pleased with their customer service. Everyone that I talked with over the phone helped me out with anything that I needed, and everyone was really friendly. The associates at the actual Carmax location were all extremely helpful and nice as well. Once again, I highly recommend Carmax for buying a car.
