Employees have a racist attitude and act like they don’t care about their job at all. The first time I went in there, there were several black females getting on to a white male coworker all because he was playing rock music behind the counter and not THEIR music. And they’re always constantly busy chatting it up with other blacks instead of ringing up anybody so basically the self checkout is the only option available unless you’re one of them. Place also smells literally like a dead body got dropped off there, is constantly in shambles, and just looks and feels like something from a really bad nightmare. Saufley Field and Michigan Ave are the next closest locations and are ran SO much better in every aspect. You would think being right by Walmart this store would step it up more than this. This store doesn’t even deserve a fraction of a star!

I want to give less than 1 star. That female in the store tonight, right before closing. Only workers there were her and the older gentleman in the back. I drop something and she snaps at me uhh sir I don't know what your doing but you need to hurry and go we are closing. I am literally right by the counter. the attitude was shocking, she does not belong in customer service. Thursday November 30 at 9:58 Didn't catch her name because i was upset and wanted to leave

I've lived in this area since February. when i first moved here the staff at this store were really amazing. it seems they were all replaced with people who clearly dont want to do their job. I shop at this location almost daily and the people working there have been extremely rude.Tonight i walked to grab some food before work and whoever is working walked up and locked the door at 940!!! i knocked on the window lightly and she pretended to not hear me. This girl literally looked like a child! Acted like one too! you cant just close your store 20 mins early for no reason. especially with people walking up. then to pretend you didnt see/hear me?? nah. there were other customers in the store, but yet they locked their door at 9 freaking 40. Dont advertise being open until 10 if youre not gonna do it! dont work in customer service if youre gonna be an a-hole!! i'm so disappointed in this store lately and like i said..im there almost daily! PLEASE, management, get some people that arent cranky incompetent children to work there bc ever since the february, you guys SUCK!!!!

It never fails no matter what day or time of day, they never have what I need. From cat/dog food, cat litter, can milk. Even cold or sinus medicine, they never have it. Plus the store is always a mess. Stock boxes everywhere, makes it hard to get around. This store is 3 minutes from my house. I would rather go 10 miles out of my way than go back into this store.

This was the messiest location I have ever been to, and that is saying a lot. I have seen some locations that looked like this in a few aisles but this store was messy and hard to walk down everywhere. I don't know why it is in such disarray but won't be back. On top of that I have to return some items that my digital coupons didn't ring up on for some reason. I am so tired of stores and not just Dollar General, ripping me off at the register! It is difficult to catch it every time as it is happening all though I do most of the time. But it was closing time and so even though I noticed it while looking over receipt in the car after leaving store, I couldn't go back inside to have it fixed. So it means another trip to do so, and remembering to take items back and not losing receipt are just more things to add to my to do list. I find it so ridiculous that I find mistakes every time I check out of a store. And they make it small amounts most of the time so that you have to think about is it worth the time and effort to have it corrected.

I have shopped at this location for over 20 years. It seems like 50 percent of the time I shop here, no one is tending the registers. You may wait or have to go get their attention. This makes purchases here a hassleToday, as I approached the register to check out, the supervisor, Susan, was walking away from it. She saw me, offered no acknowledgement and proceeded into an office, leaving me to wait to buy what they should be selling. I got disgusted and walked out. I bought the items elsewhere. Dollar General WASTED MY TIME.I did notice, however, they always have time to be talking on their personal phones.If Dollar General employees do not have time to operate the registers, I can buy anything they sell elsewhere.They should be aware that ALDI's is in town now too.

This locations is tucked away a bit off Mobile highway. It is a free standing building with lots of parking, trees and places to walk your pets, plus lock your bikes. Yay! The store is mostly stocked, however, it is kinda a mess. I got the last 3 boxes of the little white unscented candles I fancy here. I also picked up a couple of pretty cotton rugs. Awesome :) The best thing about this location is; the self checkout. There was no one around so I just payed myself & bounced. Recommend.

They sure have pretty pictures of a store that can NOT be theirs. That store is a wreck with price tags! One shining star in there is a guy named Tyler who always greets you, asks if you're looking for something if you're sort of wandering and is always working in that pile of mess. He's the only one I ever see on the floor. And if you go there in the morning, there is a truly heinous female named Susan who is abrupt, not real nice to the other employees and not particularly nice to customers. But she IS nice to her phone. ? Just don't expect the gleaming experience shown in the pics they've posted.
