I live very close to this Dollar General so I am there OFTEN. Multiple times a week. I don’t ever think about leaving reviews because I didn’t think it would matter. People will go there no matter what, right? After what I witnessed tonight, I could not stop myself. The employees are so patient and kind. They work as quickly as possible while maintaining great customer service. Even when RUDE people are LOUDLY complaining about other people just trying to pay. There is one register, because they had to shut the self pay down due to theft. I never go in there in a hurry, especially when I see 10+ cars in the lot. Because CLEARLY that is going to take some time. This is the cleanest, most organized, and customer service based DG I’ve ever been in. The workers are constantly restocking, making displays look amazing, and taking care of customers. I truly don’t know how the workers there deal with the very rude and disrespectful people that come in there. They are incredible. I don’t know if this review will make it to management or corporate, but as a frequent shopper, I would love to make sure they are recognized. I will continue to frequent this store and always show appreciation for the people who truly make the store great.

Lisa, a fairly new hire was working today at 5 PM and was the cashier that was so very gracious to me when I insisted I hadn't gotten all my discounts, only to realize I had the wrong brand sodas in my cart. My apologies to you Lisa, again...you handled it like a champ.

It's my favorite one in Pensacola. Employees are polite and friendly. Sometimes my favorites are out of stock. Most of the time the line flows fast. WIsh they would bring back the other registers or an extra employee on the weekends to ring up purchases.

Amazing & I love being back in my neighborhood store again. It had empty shelves, no ads posted, unorganized, honestly unappealing. The last couple of months, what a big, delightful turn round. The night Mgr mops, shelves are stocked, ads posted, food is fresh, not outdated, she is professional, personable & a delight to see in my evening after a long hard day. Lemae, thank you for caring & making our store great again.

I went in this morning 9/17/2022 at around 9am to make some purchases. One of which was apple juice for my household. I go to the back wall and start looking at my options. I pick up the Mott’s apple juice and unknowingly picked up the Mott’s for tots and noticed that the date said Best Buy 9/03/2022. So I put it back and looked at the date on the other 2 that were on the shelf and the were both expired going back to 8/2022. I decided to purchase the regular Mott’s apple juice which wasn’t expired. I calmly without causing a scene call over Carolyn (the manager) and told her they were expired and she proceeds to tell me that I don’t have to come in and check their dates. As a customer I have every right to check the dates on what I am about to buy and I have better things to do with my time than to come into an establishment and just check dates. The rudeness and disrespect given due to her stores lack of attention and accountability is ridiculous and to make me seem like I’m in the wrong because of expired product on their shelf is insane. A child could have gotten extremely sick because of it and I’m made to feel I’m in the wrong. I’ve been going to this store for almost 3 years now and have never been treated this way.
