Not one of the better dollar general stores. It's a bigger store with a decent selection, but my experience wasn't good. Long check out line with the lady at the register moving super slow, so I tried the self checkout. Light was green when I started, i think, but turned red after I gave up my place in line. If it wasn't working, the lady could have said something when i started scanning my items.... i dunno. I just know I didn't get the items I wanted. I can get my things somewhere else.

LeMae and Jamie are phenomenal!!! They go above and beyond for their customers. They genuinely care about their jobs and more so their customers!!! Will definitely go back due to those ladies!!

This morning I attempted to walk into the store at 8am to get my daughter a Lunchable. The doors were not open, it was not that big of a deal, I did not cause a scene, or beat on the door to get in, or even say a word about the doors not being opened. I simply continued a conversation I was having with my 7 year old daughter who was standing next to me. I looked down to check the time of my phone, and who I am assuming is the new store manager proceeded to immediately open the doors and tell me with the absolutely nastiest attitude, “Mam, it’s just now 8am.” Not a good morning, or how are you today, she immediately attacked me before I even stepped foot in the door. I addressed her by telling her that there was absolutely no reason for her to have an attitude with me, at which she then accused me of being nasty to her with the same exact condescending tone she had the moment she started speaking to me. Corporate can look on cameras to see I never spoke to this lady until she spoke to me with the nasty tone. At this point, I told her that there was absolutely ZERO reason for her to be a b-word to me. (I was highly upset which is why the word came out) This was the only swear word I used the entire time this happened. That upset her so bad, that she refused to allow me into the store and told me I needed to leave. I did nothing wrong so I entered the store to use self-checkout, at which she proceeded to call the cops on me, so I immediately turned around to avoid any further conflict and asked her more than 25 times for the regional managers number. I did not touch her, I did not touch any merchandise, I just continued to ask for the phone number to make a formal complaint about her behavior. She walked out of the store and into the parking lot leaving me in the store, and I followed behind her and stood outside the door as she proceeded to call the cops in front of my daughter who was sobbing at this point. I let my daughter in the car, and continued multiple times to ask her for her managers number. I even told her numerous occasions that I will leave once I get the regional managers number to make the complaint. The manager ignored my request and serviced 3 other people and treating them completely different than she did me. She even addressed a lady in her car stating “YOU KNOW ME” as if it justifies her poor behavior. Luckily, one nice lady asked me what was going on because she could see I was not the issue, or acting crazy. She kindly went in the store and bought my daughter lunch. Which meant the world to me after the incident since that was all I came to the store for.I immediately left after this incident and called customer service. I have never been so upset with how I was treated simply for trying to WALK INTO A STORE. I have been going to this location since they opened and never had an experience like this, to be treated in such a way that made my child cry. Your job as a manager is to deescalate a situation, and to treat people kindly. The entire event was disgusting. I will not step foot back in this location until Dollar General handles this. I will also make it a point to tell others about the event to avoid her.

The store clerk, (possibly manager) was the best part of this store. She was genuinely friendly, courteous, and thankful for my business. However, the prices per proportion on most of the items are painfully skewed to the benefit company. I realize that this is the business model for these stores, but spend your earnings wisely. Convenience, you ask? It's not 'convenient' to buy essential items quickly if the goods are packaged to deceive the shopper to appear to be a deal. I can only assume that Dollar General hopes you don't realize that you've consumed your goods faster, due to the MUCH small proportions, and return again quicker to pay higher than retail prices for the same items again. Go to Publix if you're trying to avoid the crowds at Walmart. I don't blame the company for asking us to pay more for less; I blame us for doing it. Lastly, the a/c was allegedly broken for days and I overheard the clerk mention that another associate passed out from the heat just the day before. Do better, Dollar General.

Employees just want to sit outside and smoke by the entrance. The manager seems to be the hardest worker!

Came at 9:54 needing a carton of eggs and nothing else , an employee was blocking the door and wouldnt let me in claiming they were closed , i pointed at the 10 on the sign and said i still have 6 mins....still wouldnt let me in , its nearly empesible to get anything at night when you need it in pensacola

This used to be a great store. Now, GOODLUCK getting anyone to answer the phone, having anyone to help you find anything, or having anyone at the register when you get there: where they are is a mystery.

I enjoyed shopping here until I was accused of stealing for simply using my own recyclable bag to carry three bags of cat food and two cans of coffee to the counter to PAY for it.

Very nice store to shop at, although tonight they have a lady I've never see locked the door and told another Spanish woman and myself basically the store closes in 8 minutes and turned us back.been coming here for years and that's the first time for this.
