Terrible customer service. Quoted me a great loan rate with my excellent credit score(over 800) on a new vehicle. Filled out the application, gave them everything they requested...no loan and no real reason only BS. Wouldn't talk to me on the phone, you read that right, would not talk to me and explain...really!!! Stay away from them!!!

Once upon a time I loved this organization. I will be moving my banking to another now. Have now had my debit card shut down with out warning several times due to what they have determined to be "fraud". Also have been traveling out of the country after having notified them in advance and had my card shut down. Up until a few years ago they were very member oriented and I felt that they went above and beyond to accommodate. This is just not the case any longer. Currently on the 17th day of waiting for a new card to arrive as I am working out of state and they once again discovered "fraud" on my account. I can say that the only actual fraud that has ever occurred on my account was found by me, as I check my account often, and it was a pain to get them to reject it from my account.

I had the worst experience with this bank. I have two checking accounts one was overdraft and the other was fine. These people at the bank emptied my saving and my son's saving acc because he is underage I opened his account so they took all of his savings and closed his account saying they were trying to get money that was owed even though it was my son's saving account. I emailed these people at the bank and called and no one cared about what was going on my account. It is not even overdraft a month and they closed all my accounts and left me with negative savings. I will never join or recommend this bank to anyone in my life. The teller in the branch has attitudes ( the branch is near to Sams)and discusses other members and each person you talk to about your situation is telling something you sign something and have no knowledge of what they are talking about. Even after asking for a payment plan they still went and closed my account with my out my knowledge, only to wake up with a closed account and cancel cards.

I banked with Pen Air and still do and never had a problem with the bank, and their security system is top-notch. Everyone at Gulf Breeze was professional, and I enjoyed going to that branch.

Please do not use the credit unit. I financed a car at 20,000 in 2016. I paid on time every month. The car got wrecked and I owed 6,000. It is on my credit as closed and it is back up to more than $10,000. A total rip off!!!

I see sometimes money comes up missing from checking by debit purchases taken away twice and was shown I had $40 when I have $140 and made a complaint to the fede licensing for penair and then that stoped. not sure if they want to prevent us from withdrawing so much so they don't go under, but today I noticed my $25 balance that cannot ever be spent, the amount they always keep to have the account open, is now at zero. and only Penair can do that, subtract the $25 unspendable minimal balance you paid to open the account, only pen air can remove that money so it can't be taken away unless you close the account so I guess someone in their branches did. it seems they take away keyed in debit amounts twice sometimes , if you make many many debit purchases and can miss it they take it away, then make it pending to be taken away again. that's how some banks steal your money. They change the ledger and make it look like it's right and a banker told me it does happen . you can file suspicion of complaint to the state licensing forPenAir credit union, as they are no longer under federal licensing for some reason they bolted for the same investigation possibly.I may have to leave I make thousands of deposits a month. It really looks like theft to me. Especially taking away the $25 to open the account that can never be taken away or spent. Only someone in their branch can do something like that. this is crazy and we need to leave . It's a nuisance Even if they put the money back the $25 & they will have to.because it's not possible we can spend it. They can't justify it either. It's basically theft. All we can do is deposit into savings and. Funnel it back out into another bank to use another banks debit card. Until we leave. Or file complaint with state licensing and OIG office for fraud if it's not put back And happens again . We will send pictures and incidents. For investigations

I was duped into using this place to finance my car. I already had other financing but the dealership said they could get me a slightly better rate. What a mistake for accepting that! This loan is a complete joke. They make it almost impossible to make payments.MOST OF ALL: I've made $2k in payments and $1k is LOST! Like the money was removed from my checking account and not applied to my car loan for weeks!Also:1. Even after they set up your account online multiple times, after the 1st use, you can't use it again.2. If you use bill pay where your banks sends it, they reject it then it takes over a week to get your money back. So you have to figure out how to make a 2nd payment to avoid late fees.3. If you call to pay on the phone, it's a $10 Fer.4. You can do it the old fashion way and go into a branch, but when you're over an hour away, that's not feasible. So even if they offer a better rate, definitely go with a better more modern and competent bank.

Missing payments I've authorized and paid to pen air. I have already filed several complaints about your credit union. It is almost impossible to pay your credit union. I now have two payments returned from your credit union for $300 each. I originally paid $400 over the phone which was paid from Bank of America but never reached my account. My wife and I have both filed complaints to the better business bureauFor misappropriation of funds. Here's what I meanAccount #2782285$400 September 10. Stolen from my account never paid to my account $50 Paid October 24.$300 Paid by BofA Return from Pem Air.. Oct 26th.$22000 in the account.$300 October Paid by BofA October 31Excepted payment for some reason.S300 11/14 Had to physically go to a Eglin Federal Credt Union to make a payment 3 Payment in 3 days by the way.$300 11/10 Returned by you'll again. I'm a finance manager for TMC and your company is the worst I've ever heard of and the worst I've ever seen. I have tried to pay 5 payments in 2 months and only 2 have actually made it to my payment history or my account. I've filed a complaint to Bank of America and the fully agree and are filing one of their own. I know there's nothing you'll will do about this because I believe you just don't care or are to incompetent to actually do this job. Thanks for nothing.Joe Michael Gleason.

Could not be a worse experience. They messed up the payment on my loan, then didn't notify me that the auto pay didn't process. I didn't find out until I got a credit alert from the credit bureau. When I confronted pen air they admitted the mistake, then admitted they entered my email wrong, then admitted they should have called me but said the system must have "messed up". They fixed the payments but refused to undo the damage to my credit report, I have obtained a lawyer but it will take months to get fixed.

Why have a bank branch in the middle of town and make it appointment only?

PenAir bank is reminiscent of the German Gestapo. I am 87 years old man with many health problems. I rely on my CC and online banking to pay my bills. PenAir with no warning turns off my CC card in the middle of Hurricane Sally. Because of this my only phone was shut off, my mail delivery prescription drugs were shut off for weeks and my wife who is now deceased had a heart attack. The entire family located all over the country was in a panic because they could not get in touch with me because my phone was turned off. And all this after I had my son who lives in another state call them from his phone and explain the horrific situation I was in. Recently again with no explanation I was locked out of my online banking and even though I verified my identity over the phone the call center and loss prevention would not assist me unless I get someone to drive me all the way out to the branch since I don't drive and I am in poor health. These people are crazy and I am closing my account asap.

Please don't use Pen Air Federal Credit Union for a variety of reasons. The security system isn't set up with fraud in mind. The IRS deposited money into my child's account that wasn't intended for the member. The IRS even stated the bank should have blocked this transaction. Everyone I spoke with from both branches had zero compassion for grieving family members. Situation; I took my 19 year old autistic son to the bank to open him an account a year ago. While I sat with him he listed myself (father) as beneficiary. A year later my son committed suicide and after his funeral I shut his debit card off via phone but couldn't close the account until they opened the lobbies after Covid-19. Upon lobby's opening I brought in his death certificate to the Airport Branch and the teller said with no manager was in the office and they could not help. I drove to the main Nine Mile Branch and explained I needed to speak with the manager. The receptionist stated Tyler was not in the building. When I told her this is the Main Branch and there has to be a manager on site she said let me go check. Upon returning she said that he was just going into a meeting and I told her I would wait. Surprised, she then said he was with clients and I again said I would wait. One hour later a very nice lady asked my daughter and I why we were there and we said to speak to the manager. Moments later Tyler came out and said he knew nothing about us waiting on him (which I know isn't true as the receptionist originally walked into his office). After explaining everything to Tyler he makes two different calls, each time explaining my son's suicide and smirking at me each time he tells the situation and seeing tears fall from both my daughter and I. After hearing this twice he says I need legal paperwork to close his account and to see a lawyer or go to the courthouse. I asked him why this was necessary as the death certificate states he was never married, no children and lived at home. Tyler then says "I know how you feel" and I asked him if he's ever buried a child and he looks at me and says... "what did I say" and I pulled out my Pen Air debit and credit cards and said to give me my child's death certificate and take these two cards as I will never do business with your bank again. Zero compassion and not sympathetic given the entire situation. I have just changed my direct deposit and will go get the legal documents to close my son's account and mine on my last and final visit to this credit union. Please do not make the same mistake I did.
