The bank located on 9th Avenue is horrible! Everytime I go there to speak with someone there is a long wait time and I end of leaving. They need to hire more people. Today after I left without being able to speak with someone besides the tellers, I called to set up an appointment with someone. The lady put me on hold for about 3 minutes. When she came back on the line she said no one was answering for that department and to call back. Dealing with them is so frustrating!!

Out of the state and woke up to $500 missing from my account from pending charges that weren’t me. Called and apparently there’s nothing they can do if the charges are “pending”. That doesn’t make sense to me. Anyways, those charges put my account into the negative. Meanwhile, when I try to use my card with insufficient funds, it declines. Why would the same thing not happen in this instance?? Not to mention their ATMs have maybe a 50% chance of working. After I get home I’m switching banks and never using Regions again.

I pulled into drive through and was here for 15 mins waiting for a person to come to window. I was stuck w one in front of me and one behind me.. I needed gas but was like let me do this quick.. I had 24 miles left to the gallon and by the time I got up there I had 16 miles left… these gas’s prices are no joke and I’m extremely irritated that I just spent 6 bucks waiting to deposit money!

Applied for a loan in October. I was assigned a loan officer who had no sense of urgency. 90 days passed. Still no loan progress. I was notified we had to start over. So my credit was run twice. I called the Cordova branch twice to request someone else to work with and was told someone would return my call in 24hrs but no one ever did. The loan officer kept asking me the same questions. Never returned calls or emails. I ended up losing the opportunity because the rental I wanted to purchase sold to another buyer after almost 5 months of dealing with a loan officer who had no interest in helping me from the start. Customer service experience here was horrible. The fact no one ever called me back to discuss or have empathy for my experience speaks volumes. I did finally get a letter in the mail that said my loan was denied. Kind of like a break up with a girlfriend done by letter. So I will not recommend Regions or this particular loan officer to anyone. Sad after 15+ years. I’m done with Regions.Here is a few of Regions core values where they failed-Put people first – Have respect for every person. Listen. Care. - failed.Do what is right – failed.Focus on your customer – Serving the customer in an exceptional way is our business, our only business. Failed!

Had a bad experience trying to get a loan. Had my credit run twice because it took over 90 days to get this guy moving on my loan. The second time my credit was run I wasn't informed until after it was run. Had I known after 90 days they had to run your credit again I might have gone with my gut and went to another bank. The Loan officer was hard to reach by phone or email. Took almost 5 months to finally be told by letter in the mail that I was denied. I'm okay with that part, it happens. But I worked at trying to communicate with this loan officer and it was painful. I'm in the service industry and this is how you lose customers. Communication is key. And there was a lack of communication. I called several times to inquire what could be done to better my chances for a future loan but never a return call. If you need a loan, I can almost bet you'll have better chances elsewhere where you are treated with respect and serviced in a timely manner. Serving the customer in an exceptional way is not how I was served. After 15+ years of business with Regions I can no longer recommend this bank. Time to move on. Update: I did receive a phone call from their social media staff. They read this review. I then spoke with them and they sent my concerns to an escalation specialist. I then receive a letter in the mail where they basically outlined every email that was sent and received between me and the loan officer. Not sure what the purpose of the letter was unless to defend the loan officer. It appears the customer is not always right. They did not mention the fact that the only way we communicated was through my own persistence and not the loan officers. During the 2 weeks between October 30th and Nov 13th no one ever returned my calls. I was completely in the dark. Then no one ever reached out between November and January to inquire on the status of my $500,000 loan. It was me who followed up only to find out my loan expired and I had to start over. It was a nightmare! After digging deeper into reviews it appears I'm not alone. I've read several reviews where the experience was identical to mine.

I've been with this bank for quite some time. Always helpful and have all the services you could need. Service is great. Wish the rates could be more competitive compared to the CUs and other banks. Other than that very happy customer.
