My family has used Safe Harbor for both of our dogs, and our experience has been fantastic. We have done everything from new puppy exams/shots, to routine appointments and annual vaccinations. The staff is friendly, informative, and transparent, the facilities are clean, and the cost of care is reasonable. We feel comfortable with our pets’ health under their care and would recommend Safe Harbor to anyone looking for excellent veterinary care at an affordable price.

Took my elderly dog Daisy in on a quickly made appt. not sure what to expect. The staff was so calm and supportive and went right to work after listening to my primary concerns with my baby. They explained all procedures and tests and cost before they performed anything to make sure it was ok. I was appreciative of that but at this point I didn’t care the cost I didn’t want my baby to be in pain. After X-rays and urinalysis she was treated and will be watched. 24 hours later she’s feeling so much better!! Of course she up in age and some things just will progress but they gave me guidance on what I needed to do to make her life as comfortable and fulfilling as possible. I absolutely love Safe Harbor!! Highly recommend this facility for your pet needs:)

Went as a walk-in since we were on vacation in the area. The staff all around was amazing. They worked us in very quickly and took great care of our dog. It was very reasonably priced and you had an idea of the cost before they proceeded. If I lived in the area I would have them as a full time Vet.

I like to give honor where honor is due and I am honor to be on board with the Safe Harbor family. Friendly, I list this first because the first impression is extremely important. It is important that our first encounter is a positive one. Well, put a giant check mark on that characteristic. Then there's professionalism. Someone quoted, "People don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care", Safe Harbor truly care. The staff worked like a well oiled machine. They researched and examined my precious baby from head to toe. Consulting with one another to ensure the best course of action. Asking questions about Barkleys history and symptoms. The most amazing component of our visit is that they listened. The staff allowed me to be an active part of my pups medical care. With Safe Harbor, I felt that my Barkley was in safe hands. I was so impressed that I was tempted to hop up on the exam table myself.Thank you for caring.Linda and Barkley McGee

I have used this vet for over a decade. They are always very compassionate towards my dogs and extremely helpful about all my concerns. They are very reasonable with prices as well, even in emergency situations. I have seen several vetinarians in here, and all of them have been wonderful, I even got a paw print after putting my girl down. I make the drive from Cantonment, when there is one five minutes from me. My boy is now Heart-worm free thanks to them, and he did great with the treatments!

Even though I was visiting in the area, Safe Harbor was able to see my Guinea pig that day. All staff and doctors were very friendly and welcoming. They were all knowledgeable. I was given an itemized estimation of cost and could pick and choose what services were the most critical to me for my pet. Very thankful that Safe Harbor treats new patients and “pocket pets”/exotics!

I appreciated their thoroughness while asking questions about our pet and listening to our concerns. We felt very satisfied with the physical exam, very hands on. Dr. Perez and Nicole made us feel like we were in the right place to help our little one. Their cost was very reasonable. The only thing I'd say about the place its that it looks like it needs to be upgraded to look more updated and modern.

This was my first time at an animal hospital I was so nervous and so was Gator, They treated us with pure kindness and provided genuine care for my puppy. They found the issue with my puppy almost immediately and provided clear instructions on how to administer the medications that were provided , which were also at a very reasonable price. I will most definitely be coming back and recommending this establishment to anyone in need of care for their fur baby!

I love it here so much. Each of my three dogs is a patient here and the techs and doctors are SO caring. I recently brought my German shepherd in for an emergency work-in and the care and attention they gave both him and myself was extraordinary. He was an angel until the kennel and he became aggressive. Nobody batted an eye, just “hey mom can you come bring him out of the kennel? He’ll be fine once he’s out,” and he was! Poor guy was just hurting and scared in the kennel. I am so grateful for everyone’s experience and reassuring demeanors, which kept myself and Moose calm. Highly, highly recommend this animal hospital for all of your babies!

Easy to book with and AMAZING staff! I was helped so quickly and had almost no wait time! My Vet, Dr. Cooper, was absolutely amazing and she was so sweet and personable. They made me and my little kitten feel so comfortable and taken care of. Excited to come back for Catnip Everdeen’s 6 week check up in July!

I was very impressed. The waiting area and exam room were both so clean. The staff and doctor were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I haven't had a large bird in years but Dr. Platzer explained everything. It is a secure feeling knowing I have her and the entire staff caring for my new best friend.

I am not sure what has changed at this vet clinic since I moved out of state, but I can tell you that the way they have treated my daughter is horrendous! If you want to spend an abundant amount of unnecessary money for frivolous blood work, this is your vet! Additionally, apparently, estimates are completely worthless! They have zero remorse about handing a young woman an estimate and then telling her on THE DAY OF SURGERY that the estimate is not good and estimates change all of the time. My daughter has been given the run around each and every time she visits. This is a MONEY driven vet practice. Who knows how far down the list actual compassion and care is. One more thing… I have never in my life heard of a vet charging 80 bucks for blood work on a kitten and then only a few months later requiring that same blood work be done again before a simple cat neuter!! I used to work in the field. I know what is involved in the 10 minute procedure. A perfectly healthy kitten with zero issues needs blood work twice in a few months?? Nope. This is simply a way to gouge people. Truly disgusting !!

One of the vets had treated my pet previously at the Emergency Veterinary Hospital and knew his background thoroughly. He also helped me get my pet’s dermatology appointment moved up to the day after the holiday instead of two weeks later. All the staff seem very concerned about the health of my pet and are quick to answer any questions I may have. This is a great place to bring your pets.

I am satisfied with the quality of care and the hands-on experience the veterinarian provided to our Callie at Safe Harbor Animal Hospital. However, I must admit that I found myself feeling a bit confused during my interaction with the veterinarian. As she was assessing Callie, we were discussing the extent of Callie's vision and hearing abilities. I expressed my belief that Callie had lost 100 percent of her eyesight and hearing. However, while the veterinarian was examining Callie, I overheard her say something like, "Callie can still hear a little bit."This statement caught me off guard, so I followed up by asking, "Did you just say that you think Callie can still hear a little bit?" The veterinarian responded by saying, "Well, I don't know. It's not like we can ask her to hold up her paw when she hears a sound." The technician and another person representing Safe Harbor Animal Hospital, who were present in the room, found this exchange amusing and shared a good laugh. Unfortunately, I failed to see the humor in the situation. I looked around the room, hoping to make eye contact with someone who might have heard my question correctly, but all I saw were the two employees looking at the veterinarian as they all shared a good laugh.Don't misunderstand my concern. I am a 58-year-old grown-up man who can handle this type of environment without it affecting my ego or emotions. However, my concern lies with the little girl who comes in with her first love, kitty or a puppy, who may have been born blind or deaf. I just wonder how a similar experience would affect someone more vulnerable or sensitive. As for me, my wife, and our five kitties, we have the luxury of changing veterinarians. And that is exactly what we did.
