A very unique architectural style building on the outside. It's got character. This museum which used to be called the TT Wentworth until the name was changed due to revelational reasons to what it is now. Aside from that, this structure used to be the original Pensacola City Hall at one time. Also the King and Queen of Spain visited here when they came to Pensacola years back. I toured the museum, and enjoyed my time there, while examining all the interesting displays. The park across the street is a nice spot as well.

We were trying to find something to do to get out of this hot Florida Weather. Stumbled upon the Pensacola Museum of History. We decided to give it a go.You can buy your tickets online for $6 pp. This price also includes admission to the Pecola Museum of Art and the kids museum. I thought we’d have time to visit all three but we spent so much time in the history museum that we didn’t have for the other two.First of all it felt like pure heaven inside compared to the outside heat however that’s not the reason for the positive review. If you are from this area and you have any interest in history, this museum will interest you. It goes into depth to explain the City of Five Flags. There are a ton of artifacts and descriptive information for you to see and read. Three floors of it. I didn’t quite get the third floor but two outta three ain’t bad. I believe that’s a Meatloaf Song???I believe if you take the time to check it out, you won’t be disappointed. I highly recommend.Sorry, I didn’t take any pics.

Really nice museum especially the old bar that was recreated there where the Blue Angels and other aviators were known together.Ticket type: I had used my St. Louis Art Museum membership to get in.

Melissa guided us through Lavalle House, the old Christ church, the Lear/Rocheblave house, and finished at the Dorr house. She is very knowledgeable of local Pensacola history as well as the houses and their artifacts. The tour lasted about two hours and she didn't miss a beat. She was engaging and an entertaining storyteller which made the tour an enjoyable experience. Thank you!

This is a fairly compact museum with lots of interesting exhibits! It's easy to see the entire museum in a couple hours max. This building used to be Pensacola's City Hall. T.T. Wentworth Jr.'s name was the name of this museum, but it was removed because his estate donated historic documents showing he was a leader of the Ku Klux Klan in the 1920's.I bought the Unified Admission Ticket which permits admission to all museums in the Historic Trust museum complex for seven (7) days. With my AAA, it cost $9 in Aug. of 2022. For the number of places you can visit, it is a great inexpensive way to learn about Pensacola's history! I visited this museum, Museum of Commerce, Museum of Industry, Museum of Art, and the Pensacola Historic Village. These museums are closed on Mondays!Did you know that Pensacola is referred to as "The City of Five Flags"? The Spanish, French, British, Confederate States, and United States of America flags have all flown over Pensacola at one time or another. In one room is a Curiosity Cabinet type of exhibit with odd items. There is a mummified cat on display. That cat was found inside the walls of a house in Pcola when it was demolished. It was donated to T.T. Wentworth, Jr. for his museum. In the Textiles of the Times exhibit, there are stencils, paper & pencils available for you to create your own design by rubbing the pencil's lead on the paper atop the stencils. Unfortunately, the day I went, all the papers were already used and the pencils needed to be sharpened, so I wasn't able to actually make my own design. Be sure to see the Trader Jon's exhibit! At this museum, Trader Jon's, a bar, has been recreated. Martin "Trader Jon" Weissman was a World War II paratrooper. The bar was packed full of Naval Aviation Paraphernalia owned by a civilian. There are lots of Blue Angels model planes and photos. ( yelp.com/biz_photos/pens… )The third floor has a a couple of displays about the KKK and their clothing. It also has the letter proving Wentworth's ties to the Ku Klux Klan.I probably wouldn't visit this museum again since I saw everything already. It's a great museum to learn about Pensacola as well as see other items like the 2012 Nokia Lumia Cell Phone, old Polaroid Camera, and the Coca-Cola exhibit.Check out the Pelican outside. "In Tribute to our First Nations" (There are numerous Painted Pelicans throughout Pensacola!)

TLDR: Great museum, convenient location, unfortunate 3rd floor exhibit.Detailed interior with many exhibits. There's an incredibly intricate room dedicated to Trader Jon and the legacy he left on the community. The style of the exhibits was very intriguing. There are three floors. The first is focused on the older history of the region from approximately 1500s - WW1. The second floor is focused on recent history from approximately WW1 - present.*TRIGGER WARNING*The third floor is focused on the history of the Ku Klux Klan in the region. The floor is simply labeled as "Special Exhibit" with no indication of the nature of the exhibit. Visitors be advised.

I like the design of museum and how inviting it is as you walk up. It’s not cluttered and it’s well organized. There is a nice store to purchase souvenirs and other items.I like that the way the history is displayed and I loved the exhibit on 3rd floor; Black Politicians During Reconstruction. I appreciate this display because it’s a very important part of US history.I also LOVE the Trader Jon’s display. It’s set up as his restaurant. He was a very interesting man and they think he had the most rides with Blue Angels as a civilian. I think he didn’t charge for anything but traded with those in military. And he treated all the same regardless of rank. Seems like a great man!I highly recommended visiting this museum if in the area. Don’t forget that you purchase a $10 ticket at the Museum of Art and can visit all museums. It last 7 days. The ticket on Sunday is half price because only 3 museums are open; Children, Art and History. But only good for that one day! You have to go see what this city had to offer!

Excellent location to visit. History of every generation...all packed into 1 place. The Building alone is absolutely stunning. Beautiful gardens and stunning displays of History. A definite win for people to pass your day inside when the weather outside is too extreme. Lots to see and enjoy.Love ... Love the passion that goes into preserving the History of One's world

Our tickets to the Art Museum enabled us to visit the history museum as well. There are three floors of exhibits, but it only took us about 45 minutes to see it all. Very interesting look at Pensacola history.
