Came here to fill up my propane tanks and was happily surprised with the service. This location is right by my house so I will most likely always come here for any u-haul needs. However this place is pricey. I also noticed on the previous reviews that the service was poor but I had quite the opposite experience. Made the line which was long but I waited. There were two people working but they really needed a third. When I got to the front the man was so nice helpful and smiley. Seemed so happy. He helped me by explaining the propane tank and took the time to go outside and fill the tank. Very pleasant. To fill the tank it cost me $17 just fyi. I'm not sure about renting trucks but the propane tank was an ok price. Will return when I need it.

Lazy staff , would not give me propane cause he said it was cloudy when it was partial cloudy with sun just plain lazy ! Went to BJs 1 mile Away tank was filled immediately! 2nd chance and last chance for this Uhaul location had similar problems with rent truck before ! If you are owner please get new manager

Read the reviews they're all the same. Employees are rude and don't care at all. Go in there in a good mood and they will ruin your day. Apparently they stop filling propane one hour before close- not posted anywhere. The front desk girl lied to me and the guy working out front contradicted her. I've been here a bunch and they just don't want to help. Everyone h re hates their job and they take it out on the customers.

Reserved a trailer May 2023. Went to pick up on moving day, they told us none were available. We gave them our reservation number. Caroline told us that we should have read the fine print that says reservations are not guaranteed! Going to Penske in Florida City! Thanks Penske for coming in clutch on our emergency!

..coulda been more smooth. Pick up was easy enough, locating the specific piece of equipment was not. We were in search of the 'sport trailer' aka: 'clamshell on wheels' for just a bit more cargo space on a family vacation. Without any luck through the Uhaul website I called the 1-800 number and explained our wants. Rep was super professional, found our equals booked it for next day pick. Forward one day, went the reserved location- wrong equipment. Called the 1-800 number again, explained again to another super helpful rep that actually found the only ONE located in south Florida and reserved it. No problems! Returning was a quandary. Upon arrival back to the same location there was only one attendant assisting people outside. I waited a bit, then went inside to find two employees sitting and paying more attention to their cell phones than the happenings going on around them. I had said I was there to return our trailer and that the gentleman outside was busy with one particular customer for sometime. Their response was that they were pretty short staffed and another shift was on at noon (mind you it was 12:10PM).. welp, I returned outside to continue to wait. After a few mins someone did come outdoors to assist.. asked me if I knew how to back up a trailer to which I then pointed at the back of the vehicle where the trailer was already disconnected from the vehicle awaiting final inspection. He stood around then meandered off to another person waiting for assistance. I don't have time to wait for service.. especially bad service. I asked if he needed anything else to which he mumbled 'naw'.. I thanked him then went on my way. My advise: get rid of people who don't respect others, add value to your business or help lift you up. They are your worst commodity.

This review is as much about U-Haul in general as it is the Perrine location. Both have horrible customer service. I went online and scheduled a truck TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE to ensure I'd get what I needed when I needed it. With less than 24 hours before the truck was to be picked up, U-Haul scheduling" changed the location and the time of pickup--all after I had paid in advance, thinking that would help lock everything in. HA! I scheduled the Perrine location because I live less than half-a-mile from there. I also scheduled the pickup time to be 7 am. The local scheduling person moved the pickup location to Homestead (about 30 minutes south) at 9 am. That's a waste of time, money, gas, and mileage--all of which I have to pay for. No one at U-Haul was interested in or willing to get the truck needed moved from Homestead to Perrine. The girl I spoke to, Katelyn, had the "if you don't like it, you can lump it," attitude and said "that's the way U-Haul does business." When I asked what good did it do me to schedule and pay two weeks in advance if it was going to be changed at the last minute, she avoided answering. I WILL NEVER USE U-HAUL AGAIN AND I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE ANYONE READING THIS TO GO ELSEWHERE FOR YOUR TRUCK RENTAL/MOVING NEEDS!

I've been using this facility for years for truck and moving van rentals, propane, hitch installation, and boxes. The service can be a bit slow if crowded, but you can't beat all the services and at reasonable prices. I'm prompted today to give a good review bc I went on an emergency basis to get a different light connector for my hitch to p/u a boat in Ft Myers tomorrow. The mechanic wasn't in but the gentleman at the register directed me to Alec's RV, who was able to do the rush job. It's noble when you send a customer to a potential competitor, and it saved my butt.

TERRiBLE EXPERIENCE! They don't value customers. My husband went to the location to purchase a hitch and made a reservation to install. We both took time off from work to drop off his vehicle the day of the install appointment, only to find out that the hitch was installed in another car the day prior and they don't have anymore. They were unapologetic and made no effort whatsoever to rectify the situation. They told my husband that the only other U-HAUL store that had the hitch was in Medley and that my husband would have to go over there in-person to reserve it. Are you kidding me??!?! You should've had the hitch sent over from the Medley store and installed in his car another day at this location. No one has time to go all the way to Medley because of YOUR store's mistake.

I had to use this location a few times last month during my very hectic move and the process of picking up/returning vehicles was flawless and quick.

Ordered box online and paid for them online to pickup at this location, went to pick them up there was a line out the door and only one person working the desk. The order wasn't ready, the guy working outside was completely rude and unhelpful when I asked about my order then when I was trying to leave both ways out were blocked, when I asked him if he could get the cars moved he basically said it's not his job.

I recently had a big move to a different city. This was the best option for me to pack all of my big belongings and hold them to a different city. The process is pretty simple and I like the van that they gave me. The only thing I didn't like is I felt like it was pretty expensive because they tend to charge you extra when it's a different drop off location.

Large inventory of trucks so they always have what I need whenever I need it. But holy cow could the customer service use some work. Went to pick up a truck that I reserved for Sunday at 9am. When I got there at 9:02 there was a line of 7 people waiting ahead of me. But they were all outside as the office hadn't opened yet. This one Uhaul guy was wondering around the parking lot checking trucks returned overnight. Eventually another Uhaul guy showed up and he slowly opened things up starting from the employee side and at 9:10 he walked passed the 10 of us waiting , no good morning or sorry for wait, and opened the front office. So in we file and wouldn't you know it there is only one guy working the check-ins and one guy outside doing returns AND getting new rentals out. 10 minutes later another Uhaul employee arrives and opens up a second line to check in. I finally get my paper work and keys and head outside the lone guy out there is playing parking lot cop. If all he did was get customers out that would open up places for new customers to park. But he was more interested in getting arriving customers to park properly in the increasingly busy lot. He eventually made his way over to me and he acted like I was bothering him. Maybe he had a rough night or morning , but not my fault. No need to take it out on me. I was finally out with a truck at 9:38. If you pick this Uhaul pack your patience.
