If I could give zero stars I would. I have never left a negative review in my 35 years of living but this was such a horrible experience. My puppy got vaccinated today and all I heard was him screaming at the top of his lungs from the other room. When I asked what was going on because I was obviously worried the tech responded with “Train your dog he bit me” ( he is 4 months old). I asked the vet what was going on he stormed off and said I don’t have time to answer you.I paid almost $300 for this experience.Management needs to do better. Please train your employees to be empathetic and react to stressful situations in a professional manner. I left unsure if my puppy was harmed and when I asked what happened no explanation was given.I understand shots hurt puppies but I don’t understand why he was yelling at the top of his lungs for a long period of time. It just isn’t right. Get the owner involved when the dog is beginning difficult. Don’t just have 3 people hold him down and be rough. People shouldn’t pay for such unprofessional behavior.

Poor customer service and bad management. They are taking forever to approve a prescription request for Simparica Trio from Chewy. They first received my request on July 1st. It took Banfield 10 days to review the request. It was then denied because my dog needed to get his annual Heartworm Test. We were not notified and found out simply because the Chewy order was automatically cancelled and I called. I scheduled an appointment to get the test on July 11. During the appointment, I told the staff and doctor that a new prescription request was pending from Chewy, and asked to get approved promptly, given that I ran out of pills and my dog was supposed to take it on the 10th. They assured me they would do it by the end of the same day. They did not. I called twice on July 12. I also spoke with the manager who assured me they would do it by that day. They have not. This is blatantly ridiculous and disrespectful towards customers. Why was the prescription not approved right when my dog was seen by the doctor! I spent 50$ for the visit so that everything needed to get the prescription approved was settled. Yet, thr prescription request is still pending!

My name is Mauribel Gracia, the mother of Zues, a Dogo Argentino that was only 1 year and 5 months old, who was erroneously diagnosed in Banfield on 2 different occasions. On the first occasion, I was able to save my dogs life because I took him somewhere other than Banfield, where they would actually help him. Several days before us taking Zeus to the Pet Emergency Hospital, Banfield diagnosed him with Pancreatitis and days later his health condition continued deteriorating, which caused us to worry. I had to pay $120 just to even upgrade his Banfield insurance to the more premium version with supposed additional benefits, to not come out of pocket for all the fees Banfield was charging us, and useless medicine they were prescribing. The medicine that was prescribed for Zeus was intended to treat "pancreatitis", but nothing that was prescribed to him helped with his loss of appetite, did not help with his drinking water, he was getting more and more dehydrated and was becoming even more lethargic, which we found very strange. They even took X-rays and they concluded that it was pancreatitis, not only was it not pancreatitis, but we also ended up spending over $600 in just the medicine that was prescribed alone, which did not help whatsoever. Once we arrived at the Pet Emergency Hospital, they concluded, using an ultrasound, that Zeus did not in fact have pancreatitis, but instead had an intestinal blockage. This blockage required emergency surgery and 2 overnight stays at the emergency hospital for aftercare and monitoring and cost over $5,000 dollars out of pocket, safe to say that the Banfield insurance was not very useful at all, and this was just the first occasion where they falsely diagnosed Zeus with pancreatitis. The second occasion where he was taken to Banfield, he got his vaccinations, once his exams were done, they mentioned that he was fine with no issues but an ear infection. The next day he got very sick after that and had a very high fever, he didn't eat for 3 days and called the hospital again 3 days after. They also mentioned not eating after the vaccines was normal but to bring him in anyways. We brought him and once the doctor checked Zeus, they said he was sick which was obvious, they offered 2 options, pay nearly $1,000 for X-rays, or treat the dog as if he had pancreatitis which we did, but he then passed away. The records do indicate that he was diagnosed with pancreatitis, and we took him home with the medicine that was prescribed. He was still not eating, was severely dehydrated and had all the same symptoms as the previous time and unfortunately passed away. The medicine they prescribed Zeus was not to assist with the pancreatitis, and he passed from a pulmonary infection and lung congestion from one of the vaccines that were administered. We pay for the monthly insurance, the highest level, but they didn't even bother to give him a sort of electrolyte treatment, and they also did not conduct a pancreas check to verify if he had pancreatitis, knowing that they diagnosed him with the same sickness as last time (I made it clear to the doctor that Banfield's primary diagnosis of pancreatitis had been wrong, and I explained what the first part of this paragraph says, to him, and the answer I got was "if the system says that he had pancreatitis, it means that he had it"), nor did they administer antihistamines with his history of allergies. In addition, Banfield is obligating us to continue paying the insurance even after Zeus' death which is extremely ridiculous. Out of the 2 times they wrongly diagnosed my dog and ultimately failed to help my dog in the end, I know that this won't bring my dog back, but there have been many people that have been through the same thing but just stay quiet and not say anything, who knows how many people Banfield has screwed over. If you don't want your animal to end up as ashes in an urn like my Zeus, PLEASE, go anywhere other than Banfield pet hospital.

I love taking my dogs here. One of them is rather old and my other dog is about 3-4 years old (adopted). The staff here always treats them both like their own and for my pets, that’s priceless.

Horrible! I made an appointment here recently and I usually take my pet to banfield but a different location. I made the appointment for 12:30 but then a day later I had to change it and I saw my appointment was for 9:30am. I thought maybe I made a mistake but then checked a screenshot I took and saw that they just changed the time of my appointment without any notice or permission. I changed my appointment for 2:30. Then a couple of days later, I get a call today the day before my appointment at around 6pm asking if I can come earlier because they overbooked. First they tried to change my appointment time without even asking and when I tell the lady that on the phone she has nothing to say other than I should change my appointment time. Just horrible customer service and disgusted by the lack of honesty. Banfield is already known for trying to sell its customers into buying unnecessary BS but now they also lie and inconvenience them. I cannot emphasize enough if you want your pets to be in a safe and trusting environment, this is not the place for you. There are many local vets in the area that are cheaper, upfront with you, actually care about your pets health and not selling you some dumb service, oh and actually let you go inside the room with your pet.

If I could give 0, I could. Their website states that they take my pet's insurance and when I called they say that they don't. I'm glad I called before because if I'd gone there and wasted my time, I would have been extremely upset, especially on a Saturday morning.

So I did my due diligence and called ahead and asked the person that answered how much a rabies shot cost. The girl asked for my information and pulled up my account. She then went to confirm the price and informed me that it was $30. So I booked the appointment. Now the appointment was during my job so my boyfriend went and took my dog for the appointment he was now informed that it was $125, A price that was not discussed during the phone conversation. I spoke with the clerk and I told her that I want them to pull up the phone recording to listen to what the representative told me which was incorrect information. They told me they are unable to despite the automated voice system said the call was recorded for training purposes. They then informed me that the reason of the price was because my dog didn’t have insurance. which I can understand but why is it that when I called and the woman pulled up my profile and saw I didn’t have insurance and didn’t inform me that the complete price would be doctors visit and rabies shot.It was like a bait and switch. So what I advise is when you call them to ask if there’s any additional cost, fees, etc if you ever confirm or ask anything over the phone.Don’t rely on the phone recordings because apparently they have no access to it.

We’ve been taking our dog there since we discovered they had open this new Banfield hospital. We originally used to go to the one in Kendall Dr. and 137, then we changed to the Dadeland north, and then to this one.We just spent over $1000.00 on a surgery for our dog a few weeks ago at this place. Our dog only eats prescription food that was prescribed by Banfield in 2014. I decided to go to them to see if they had that particular food, but they didn’t. The young lady in the front desk told me that I could go to the Dadeland Petsmart to try to get it, but I was probably need a prescription. I asked her to please find my prescription on record, since it was given by the same hospital, and she did. When I asked her to get me a copy of the prescription she said she had to talk to the doctor. The doctor said she couldn’t do it because that prescription was given by another doctor, that I had to go and see that doctor. I explained to the young lady that the prescription was given to us 8 years ago that the doctor I was sure wasn’t even there anymore and that it was the same Hospital, just in a different location. Finally I asked to talk to the doctor and she didn’t even come ou. All she said was that she could give me another prescription for other type of food which I declined to get. I’m sure the only reason she was doing that was to sell me the brand that they had at that particular hospital.I finally went to the Dadeland hospital that was not even the location where the food was prescribed and all the young lady in the front desk did was ask the Pinecrest location to transfer the records back to them and she gave me the prescription without even asking the doctor. She just looked at the records. Our dog is not going back to the Pinecrest Banfield, and it’s unfortunate because we’re just five minutes from them.Horrible way to do business and to treat customers.

I’ve taken my puppy to Banfield since day 1 and yesterday I decided to give this location a chance and I’m so glad I did. Everyone was super sweet and helpful, Dr. Flores took his time to give me a call and answer all of my questions. Definitely sticking to this location!
