We have been storing our RV at Florida Covered storage for 5 years. It is a very safe and well maintained place
Management did send out emails advising us to move our camper due to impending hurricanes. The storage is located in Zone A and it does flood during tropical storms and hurricanes. We moved our camper before the hurricanes as was advised and had no issues.

I have no idea why this business is strarting to get low reviews??? We have our 2022 31ft Class C there and just renewed our lease today for ANOTHER year. Tina in the management team has been excessively responsive, professional and helpful. Both myself and my father have covered lots for our RV's there and we have never expierenced flooding. During the last two hurricanes Tina called us directly and emailed us several times advising of the risks of keeping our RV's onsite during a hurricane. Being from FL we understand the risks with any hurricane and we have insurance- that is what insurance is for! The facility has been great maintaining their property and after reading some of theses recent reviews it almost seems as if people are trying to take advantage of FL Covered. I can't emphasize enough how easy the mgt team has been to work with and how happy we are to be there. Thank you.

FLOOD ZONE! DANGER!! Do not even entertain the thought of storing your RV, 5th Wheel or Boat at Florida Covered Storage. The fact that there was a flood and we experienced $16,000 ( Sixteen Thousand Dollars) in damages was devastating enough however the experience continued to get worse.
We have no idea how long our Motorhome sat in over 2 feet of water because management failed to notify us of a massive flood.
When we came to pick up our RV preparing to travel to St. Augustine we could see the water line on our RV. Everything in storage was destroyed. Generator destroyed. Wiring , censors all destroyed.
We requested Florida Covered Storage not charge us for the Month or two that the repairs took place. Not only did management deny our request she indicated our lease would immediately be terminated if we didn’t make payment. She claimed it was the Owners decision.
The lack of communication, poor customer service and the disrespect was at a level I have never experienced. Management never even returned our calls. Just nasty and disrespectful texts.
As a business owner in Pinellas County for 35 years I could never imagine treating my clients in such a disrespectful manner.
After the fact I have learned that Florida Covered Storage had a previous flood. That was never disclosed. They also just increased monthly fees. Unconscionable!!
We found a wonderful place with great management after the repairs are completed.
Never ever enter through the gates of Florida Covered Storage.

They raised the the space rent a $100.00 with no notice. It's basically a dirt lot covered with rocks,as a result my boat was constantly dirty. Then they required me to move my boat for a week to do maintenance. Which was a problem as I had no where I could take it,so I had to rent another storage space somewhere else. They refused to give me a credit for the week I had to move my boat.!! These people are crooks! Beware.

We really liked the place till they increased their rates $100 more a month. They told us they hadn't increased their rates in 7 years but I think they could of done a smaller increase like most storage places. They also had renters move their boats and rvs out for a week so they could do maintenance which was a problem for people like us who live where we can't keep our boat. They didn't give us any kind of credit for that week so we found another storage and never went back even though we still had a couple more weeks left on our lease. Another complaint is that our boat was constantly dusty cause of the dust kicked up by vehicles driving by. So we had to keep a cover on our boat even though it was under a covered carport.

BEWARE-other much nicer places nearby
After 1 1/2 years I would not recommend Florida Covered Storage to anyone who values their RV and their money. Here are some of the reasons why I had a terrible experience with them:
• Rude management. They were unprofessional, disrespectful, and unhelpful. They did not care about the customers or their needs after the flood and knowing it had flooded in the past.
• Floods. The storage area was prone to flooding and they did not warn us or take any precautions. They did not even inform us when our RV was damaged by the water!
• No communication. We only found out about the flood 2 weeks later when they asked us to move our RV so they could paint the area. They refused to give us a credit for the week we had to move out. When we got there, we saw a high waterline on our rig and thousands of dollars in damage.
• No compensation. They did not offer to pay for the repairs or give us any discount. They would not pause rent while our RV was in the shop due to the flood damage. They also continually raised the monthly rate with little notice or explanation.
• Unlevel sites. The parking spots were uneven and sloped.
• Dirty and dusty. The storage area was not well-maintained. There was dust and dirt everywhere. Our RV was always dirty after having it detailed and taking it back until our next trip.
• Not sure who owns this place yet we know they only care about making money and not about providing quality service or customer satisfaction.
Dear owners-we planned to stay and had an emergency plan in the future when heavy rains would be in the forecast. Your RUDE manager and her unwillingness to work with us forced us to look elsewhere.
We found a much nicer place for a little less money nearby. It has level concrete, power, and water. It is also very clean, secure, and well-managed with on-site presence. We are very happy with our new storage and we will never go back to this place.

We are gone! We won't be coming back to Florida Covered Storage! YOU DON'T WANT TO STORE YOUR EXPENSIVE MOTORCOACH HERE! IT FLOODS! The flooding was so bad we had to make an insurance claim on our personal property inside the unit and the motorcoach. BEWARE

We've been parking our large camper here for about 5 years and are very pleased. Never had problems with flooding that others claim from years ago. I've gone by to check after heavy rains and the rain runs off great. Security cameras monitor 24/7. Had a freak incident a few years ago that the management pulling the security tapes to determine exactly what happened. Very reasonably priced and so nice having a dump station, plus water and electric available at every site. Lots of room to maneuver a large rig.

FCS is safe and secure with access 24/7. You have access to water and a dump station as well as being able to keep your batteries charged with electricity. Tina is wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend FCS.

I sent money orders he magically didn't receive and told him I'd be down in 3 weeks to take care of it and he says ok... 2 weeks later calls to tell me he's inbounding it if don't pay it now. Nice wide spaces...easy to get you coach in spot !!! . Other place don't give you that little extra room to maneuver a big vehicle..

Well maintained lot, love that the spaces provide a lot of coverage from the sun and rain/hail. We have used this location for 3 years with zero complaints. Management is very helpful. Dumping station as well as water spigots on-site. Also have power at each space for battery tenders. They fixed the issues that some previous reviews mentioned regarding the lot flooding. Zero issues since we have been here!
