I ordered a delivery for same day. The order didn’t deliver on that day and never updated me on a timeline to expect the order. I called customer service and they took accountability for this issue but gave me no real solution other than to go in the store, cancel the order, and then re purchase the item. As I go to the store to cancel the item I see it sitting on the shelf ready to be picked up by the carrier. The order was scheduled for delivery Sunday and the service counter says it’s an error and they don’t deliver Sunday. What a waste of time and resources. I wasted over 24hr waiting for an item that was never going to be delivered plus 4 hours trying to track to item and then had to go in, get a refund, and purchase the item again because the app offers more than the store can handle.
Take away
Home Depot work on their user interface for their application to actually align delivery expectations with realistic logistics for shipping.
If I were you, I would go in person if it says it’s in stock or place a pick up order rather than trying to utilize their “convenient” ordering system online as it is flawed and does not reflect the actual capability of the store ordered from.
When you call customer service, they will downplay your Statements. They will take full responsibility, but give you nothing in return other than I’m sorry and we will do better. They even when acknowledging that the system is flawed and not going to change any time soon, they would rather waste your time and resources to get an item that was supposed to be and plan to be delivered at a convenience. The entire experience is an inconvenience.

Continues to be the #1 worst customer service business in DIY stores over 20 years running. Even the competition is not this bad.

Found everything ok, but their "Cashier" overseeing self checkout was a complete HAG! I didn't see the scanning gun BEHIND THE SCREEN I was standing in front of. When I asked how to scan, she pointed at the picture of the scanning gun on the screen, like I was a moron!! I didn't appreciate that at all. She could've simply told me that I'd passed it, as she reached behind the screen to pick it up! I told her point blank I didn't appreciate her trying to make me look like a fool, and politely asked her to GO AWAY, when she was standing there, watching me scan the two items I purchased, trying to tell me that she wasn't trying to make me feel bad. No apology, no nothing, just "I didn't do that!!" I said "YES, YOU DID, IT WAS A CONSCIOUS DECISION AND and now you can go find someone else to belittle!!"
Y'ALL need to find better staff with PEOPLE SKILLS. In my day, I'd have been fired for treating a customer like that!!
I'll not go back to this location. I prefer Lowe's anyway!! They have more knowledgeable staff, that doesn't talk down to customers.

Exactly a typical Home Depot. Nothing makes it unique.

I walked in the store and Michael C was just ridiculously aggressive with me about what online said and what the store policy was. It was very unprofessional and unnecessary. I shop here all the time. I've never experienced this before.

My experience was unique stacks of orange pallets, aisles and aisles of material projects, creativity, instruction. What should I build? What should they make? Where will I end up?

This place will cut the wood you bought at the store wrong and will refuse to fix their mistake.
Update: another crappy experience with the same store, just straight up lazy workers from the bottom all the way to the store manager. Ordered drywall online and went to return here since it’s the closest. They would not help unload with a forklift citing some regional directive. Then they wanted us to unload over 25 sheets on a cart, we told them we would unload it but would not take responsibility for any damage. Store manager came over and said he would not refund some due to damage but changed his mind very quickly when I showed him the pictures that it was delivered that way by them. Finally he said he was going to find someone to help us unload, he disappeared and never came back. We had to unload all of it ourselves.

Don’t buy their sliding glass doors. I went through 3 to get to one that wasn’t bowed. Hauling a heavy door panel back and forth cost me money as this cannot be hauled alone. Chris & Theresa in Management, and Nicole in Windows didn’t care about the extra cost to me due to their faulty product. I was also treated poorly by management as they wanted me to “just try the door” that was bent as I used a level to check it before wasting more time and money. I asked several times to have them deliver the door, but management would not. This was all between hurricane Milton and Helene

Set up a delivery for a fence. $2600 order I was assured could be delivered on time. Morning of the delivery I get a notification delivery attempted but couldn’t deliver. I call and the store confirms there was never an attempted delivery and I am told everything is on its way. Throughout the day I keep getting notifications about a failed delivery so I call multiple other times being assured again my products are on their way and I was told not to trust the notifications because they had personally talked to the driver and had me on his schedule. Finally around 5 o’clock (9 hours after they said I would have delivery) I get another email saying they have to reschedule for next week. Then it takes another 30 minutes on the phone to get refunded. Save yourself the trouble and go ANYWHERE else. The missed delivery is frustrating but what is beyond unacceptable was the blatant lies and rude customer service.

Every single time their website says they have something in stock, the store actually has 0 on the shelf. There may be a full box of it somewhere on top of the shelf, but no employee is gonna be willing to get it for you, assuming you can even find an employee walking around. Sure, you can call the store to see if they actually have said item in stock, but you're just gonna sit on hold for an hour, be transferred to 5 different people who are obviously stoned out of their minds, and eventually be right where you started. Worst home depot in the history of the world.
