December 2024 by Well Protected
Waited an hour and a half in line in the BLAZING sun for a pre-order. It was miserable and I will not do it again. This should’ve been planned way better Thanksgiving comes every year. It’s not NEW. With that being said, I felt bad for the staff having to deal with all of that

If the caterer comes to pick up an order and you give them the wrong one. Do not lie to easy cater or the customer and tell them the caterer picked up two orders and mix them up. That's bad business.

Justin contacted me on 12/2 by phone from the emailed survey. He was very apologetic for the poo show (my words, not his) that happened before Thanksgiving and we discussed changes that will be made going forward. The ham was delicious and we will definitely give this location another try.
Arrived at this location at my designated time. The prepaid line was as least 60 people outside. That's not terrible and to be expected. What I didn't expect was people who didn't prepay, or didn't even order yet, to be ushered directly inside to be attended to VIP style. One particular gentleman who arrived 15 minutes after me and hadn't preordered was helped AND left the store 15 minutes before me with ham in town. Once I made it to the register to pick up my 4-4.99lb ham I was told my choice was either a 3.0lb or an 8.0lb ham. This whole poo show has me doubting if I'll ever return to HoneyBaked or not. This isn't my first (or even sixth) experience during the holidays, but it may be my last.

I purchased a $92.00 Prime Rib along with an 8lb ham. For heating up the Prime Rib, I followed the provided instructions, the instructions were as followed, preheat oven to 365°, placed meat on a rack uncover. As I was instructed in the pamphlet, the Prime Rib should cook for 2:30 hrs. (Mind you it's already fully cooked and I thought this seems a bit high and long, but was given these instructions and told at the store to follow the preheating instructions in booklet) if you put the included garlic butter on, spread butter 1/2 way through cooking time on Prime Rib (1-1/4 hr.)
As I opened the door the meat half way through was burnt to a crisp outside and medium well inside.
I cook with this oven regularly and it is accurate on temperature, I also keep an oven thermometer at all times in my oven so it didn't malfunction. Please don't waste you money on this meat. Unless the booklet has a typo, your dish will be ruined if you heat it up to Honey Baked Hams instructions supplied.
I'm having to throw out almost $100.

An unbelievably poorly-run operation. I understand that this is the go-to place for people ordering turkeys & hams for Thanksgiving, but ultimately, you should be prepared for the rush OR at least give people some kind of notice (which is more on corporate than this store, but still).
When they ask you as you're placing your order to select a pickup window, that leads one to believe they're capping out the windows at a certain number of orders to ensure all customers can be served in a timely manner. Obviously that was not the case. Most people Wednesday afternoon were waiting 45 minutes to an hour.
Again, if this is inevitable, then fine, but we should be made aware of the wait times when ordering, so that we can carve out the necessary amount of time in our day. It's the day before Thanksgiving. People are busy. They have family in town. Not everyone can wait an hour to pick up their turkey.
On top of this, the staff was incredibly unprofessional. One woman was allowed to skip the line because her mommy called the manager and complained. The elderly woman at the door yelled at me as I walked past and looked inside on my way to the car to run other errands as my wife waited in line. "WAIT PATIENTLY, SIR!" My wife said when she got in, one of the employees at the counter was arguing with a customer saying they "don't offer pickup time windows" when clearly everyone's email had one. What a joke.
Update: I got a call from Justin, who apologized for our experience and offered to mail me a gift card for our trouble. Thanks for making it right! He said they would be taking the lessons learned over Thanksgiving to try and improve the situation for Christmas.

I prepaid like honey baked ham suggest You do when ordering on line. The pre order/prepay line was 55 min wait outside. No consideration for the elderly or the handicap person’s in line. I am handicap and had to stand outside in line for almost an hour. Meanwhile people that did not pay basically skipped the line and went right inside. I order from here a few times a year. The food is delicious but the wait is not worth it for me as I cannot stand that long. I hope honey baked ham finds a better way to assist its customers no one in that line was happy.

One star for the prices. Absolutely ridiculous. $77.00 for the smallest ham they had! Unreal!
