I called the day before and was told to come by around noon. They said no appointment was necessary. I drove 6 miles, went inside. The gal said that the master technician is two hours into a six hour job. That's a lot of time in a job, can't imagine what he must be doing. The next technician is out to lunch. They said it would be two hours before they could start. Unacceptable.

“Overpriced for the quality of service. They weren’t thorough with their work, and the customer service was lacking. Definitely expected better for the cost.”

Brought minivan to pep boys because ac not working properly under the impression i only needed a recharge. Without telling me results of inspection they continued to recharge my ac despite them finding that the compressor was the actual problem and is a $3000 fix. They charged me over $300 to recharge the ac knowing i would still have to have the compressor repaired and have the ac system recharged after that repair. I was ripped off. Don’t go there!

Ridiculous pricing for windshield wipers $60! Tire rotation $99! Never going back, they used to be great, not sure what’s happened

Our family has been using Pep Boys here in Florida for at least 10 years and before that in other states with total satisfaction. This past week we took our older 2004 Lincoln Town Car in because of a leak under the passenger rear side of the car. We were told that to diagnose the problem would be $41.00 that seemed fair --so we had that done and an oil change. The oil changes have gone way up and with a coupon was still $100.00 The tech told us the quote back to fix the leaking seals and to replace the bearings was--$1,900--mostly labor. We took it to another independent mechanic who did the job --adding a new axel--which was needed --for a total of $450.00 including parts. One quarter the price. We have lost all confidence in this shop --and sadly will take our business elsewhere.

Work was done perfect. Feel over charged, an lied to by advisor, was told 4 hours took two days. Honestly they were busy and the mechanic did great work.

Good Friendly Service! I ordered tires from Gigatires, and scheduled thru their webpage to get them installed at Pep Boys. Stephanie rescheduled me, without a problem. Cody handled my tires, and it all took not more than 75min. They have coffee available, and a clean waiting room with a tv. :)

Called for price on changing bank 2 sensor 3, on 2016 jaguar xjl, was quoted 645 bucks. Did it myself with 2 Jack's and sensor only cost 89 dollars, what are these guys thinking charging that much. Please check around before coming to this place.

Oh boy. I've been waiting to write this review. Wanted to make sure there was no chance I would go back before I shared my experience.
One morning I noticed my tire was flat and had a nail in it. I called this place because I bought tires here and they were covered under warranty. I told them I can't bring my car in personally because I was working and asked if it's OK to have it towed there. They said it would be fine and they'll leave a note just in case. Next day I call to check the status. They told me they had no idea what to do with it. No problem. Mistakes happen. I updated them and asked for a call when it's ready. I call back that evening to ask for the status. They tell me it's been ready for hours. Awesome. So I pick it up, bring it home, and the next morning whaddya know...it's flat again with the same nail stuck in there.
So I take it in again. Explained what was going out. Went out for lunch. Got a call saying it was ready. Asked what they did to fix it. They said they removed the nail. Cool. Pick it up, don't see a nail, bring it home, next morning....you'll never guess...woah! How did you do that? You're right! Flat again!
This time I call to make an appointment. I bring it in and explain what happened. They tell me I'm next. While waiting, someone walks in and asks if they have time to check out their flat. About 15 minutes later they tell him he's good to go. I end up waiting 30 more minutes for my car. I ask what was done with the tire. They told me they took a nail out.
Now keep in mind that this ENTIRE time I have been overly pleasant with these people. I don't know jack about cars. I'm always nice to mechanics and service industry no matter what because A) they get enough crap as it is and B) they could mess with me and I wouldn't even realize it's happening. I finally let my frustration out at this point. I didn't yell, curse, or talk down, I just didn't hide how frustrated I was. I recounted my entire experience to the lady and said "I feel like I'm at least owed an apology". What I got was excuse after excuse. Last thing I said was "Awesome. Didn't hear a single apology in all that" to which she had no reply as I left.
Hopefully this convinces you to never visit this place. I've decided that even if my tire is flat tomorrow morning, I would rather spend the money to have it fixed by professionals then ever have to deal with this garbage business again. I shared my experience on social media and my friends all shared the same thought:
Pep Boys is the worst.

Do not take your car here. They tried to charge me for a service they did not perform. Took my daughter’s car here for an oil change and tire rotation and when we returned to pick it up it had not been moved from the spot we parked it. They tried to tell us they had performed the work until I informed them that I had marked the right front tire and it was still in the same place. Then they tried to say they had done the oil change but forgot to do the tire rotation. Again this was not true unless the mechanic was able to move the vehicle into the bay and then get the same parking spot and drive the car to where the mark on the tire was in the exact same position as where I had marked it. The person at the desk then apologized and offered to do the work herself while we waited. This was the only time we could do the oil change so we agreed. Then when they were done the price was $25 higher than what I was quoted. This is the second bad experience we’ve had here. Tried to give them a second chance but this was worse.

Bought four tires from this place help me with the price and service at the time. Got a squirrel one in the tires though and I come to get it fixed and they tell me it’s a three hour wait. Just to take the screw out and patch it. Absolutely ridiculous. Will never buy anything from Pep Boys again.

I am so sick and tired of being scammed and ripped off. My car engine overheated and broke down right in front of this place, unfortunately. I went in and asked for assistance, and the guys were great about pushing my car into the lot to take a look. I was told I needed a $1,500 part to repair a hose. What they failed to mention was that the engine was completely fried, and this $1,500 part wouldn’t help at all. The repair guy even had the nerve to say, “I’m trying to do right by you. I have a daughter about your age.” I know I’ll never get my hard-earned money back, but hopefully, I can save someone else the headache and heartbreak by sharing my experience.

Made an appointment ahead of time. Sat there for an hour. They handed me my keys, lied and said everything was perfect, without even touching my car because they were backed up. I later received an email saying I missed my appointment and if I would like to schedule a new one.
