This place is good for Filipino goods! They also have a little kitchen inside where you can order legit Filipino dishes. I recommend getting their dinuguan and kare kare! So good and it hits home! The prices can be a little higher than other places though. The workers/owners are very nice and welcoming. It is pretty small inside so it can be quite difficult to get around especially with few customers. They got ice creams, noodles, frozen goods, canned goods, and all those Filipino snacks you've been craving for!

My second time at Tindahang Pinoy and it did not disappoint. It is truly a hole in the wall and if you're not looking for it, it blends in with everything else. Tindahang Pinoy is a Filipino grocery store that sells everything Filipino food related, but further in the back is a small kitchen where the owner makes authentic Filipino food. Authentic to me because it tastes exactly like home. I ordered lechón kawali and rice to eat there, dinuguan and pancit bihon to take home. Ten or so minutes for the lechón kawali, but worth the wait. It was crunchy and flavorful like it should be. It had Mang Tomas on the side which is a must. I've had the dinuguan before. It's bite size pork in pork's blood, vinegar, and other spices. It's definitely for the adventurous, but if you are, do try it! Haven't eaten the pancit yet, so I can't comment on it, but this store hasn't failed me yet. Don't be fooled by the ambiance, sitting there made me think I was in Philippines again for a short minute. It's crowded by boxes and food stuffs, a Filipino show in the tv in the background. It's tight quarters for sure, but the food is absolutely worth it!

Went in to ask for directions. The Philippino gentleman was very helpful. He took the time to use his phone to find the place and direction. And, he was right on. I thanked him and found the place.

Was good but I was surprised that there was no meat in my Pancit. The next day I was in the bathroom all day- not sure if I got food poisoning or just coincidently had a GI bug. Because of that I'm not taking the risk to go back.

Great Filipino store with great homemade Filipino food! As soon as you enter the store you get blasted by some delicious smells. I got the dinuguan and rice. Tasted amazing. The meat was extremely tender, literally melts in your mouth. Mixed the two together for the best combination of flavor. The staff at the store are super nice too. Friendly customer service, guy working there is full of smiles. The ambiance was calm. The store also has many Filipino items you can purchase. You'll find almost everything you need to make your traditional Filipino meals or feast. They have canned products, dry food, refrigerated food and frozen food available. You can also get boxes you can fill up with your favorite items to send to your families or friends back in the Philippines! Honestly if you're not Filipino and you want great Filipino food, or if you've moved from California and you're craving Filipino food come here! It will not disappoint.

This is a small Filipino grocery that has a small cafe in the back with only 2 tables. My husband and I ate lunch there. We ordered dinuguan, kare-kare, menudo and lumpia Shanghai. The flavors are decent, the serving size quite generous for the price point and service is good. The lumpia came out very hot as it was freshly fried, cooked to order. The kare-kare veggies were still crisp, not overly cooked. It could’ve used more peanut butter in the sauce though. Both the dinuguan and menudo were just right, they were seasoned appropriately and meats were tender. The only negative thing I’d say is that ventilation is poor and so the whole place smells like fried food, which sticks to your clothes. Overall a pleasant dining experience, nothing fancy but feels like a good home cooked meal.

Don't expect anything fancy when you come in here since it's a true hole in the wall place that serves authentic Filipino food. You walk in and you're greeted with a small market where they sell some Filipino grocery items - from snacks to frozen items to condiments and everything in between. We specifically came here for food so we headed to the back of the market to order. It's a quaint place with only 2 tables and a kitchen. We placed our order and within 15 mins, we were served with tocilog, daingsilog, lumpia Shanghai and gulaman drink. Everything we had was delicious and took me back home. It was very hot in the eatery area which is why I docked a star (but truly feels like the weather in the Philippines if you want that authentic feel).

Visited the St. Petersburg/Clearwater area for a week and we love to try local Filipino dishes and found this gem. Small shop with lots of filipino stuffs to buy. We had Lechon Kawali, Sinigang and Kare-Kare. Wow, the Kare Kare was very tasty. Nanay made these dishes all fresh in her small kitchen. Simple home cooked food and a good price.

The food was spot on 100%, very nostalgic. The service was great!! Fast and Friendly. Ambiance is your authentic Filipino eatery, with that said, may not be for everyone. But I definitely recommend! We tried Palabok, Bistek, Adobo, shanghai and kawali. Loved all of it!!

Best Lechon Kawali around. If you miss Filipino home cooking, this is the place. While you're at it, pickup some groceries.

I would buy only take-out food there or you will be smelling like fried fish or fried pork when you dine in.
