Today was quick and simple. Open a separate savings account. Within less than 5mins I was serviced with no issues.Answered all the questions I had and was in no hurry to rush us out.

Have only been with them since AUGUST 2023 and after another issue today that was not handled by phone, causing an unplanned trip to the branch, I decided I’ve heard/seen enough. I’ve been having repeated issues with card randomly declining or just flat out failing, with merchants I use on a regular basis. There is no warning and no valid reason. I’ve had other questionable experiences within my checking account as well. I called customer service today, where I experienced EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional service and was hung up on. Not the first time at all this has happened. Went to the branch where not only did it seem like nobody knew what was going on, but was also fairly rude, condescending and continued to repeat to me that I needed to “calm down”, like I’m a child. These are my FINANCIALS we’re discussing here, that keeps being compromised. Worth noting that my husband also banks here and has had nothing but issues as well. I no longer trust this bank and I am already actively searching for another. Would give zero stars if possible. Not impressed at all and want nothing more to do with them.

I had the pleasure of being helped by Noel Lugo when I needed to open an account. Noel is very knowledgeable in all services and products offered by GTE. Very friendly and outgoing answering all my questions and concerns. Noel is a great asset to GTE, its reassuring to be able to reach out to him with any questions.

I was told to leave the account open until all of my transactions come in to clear, but yesterday when l called to see what did come in to be paid, l was told that it was returned, so l asked the lady that l spoke with on the phone yesterday, if she would transfer the rest of my money to my new acct, which she did.. That was disturbing! So l called the company and explained what had happen and payed out of my new account.I know when a person is in training you can't remember everything that in told to you. I did spend the day changing all my accounts with my new information. I hope that this never happens again because it is a lot of work.

Layla Baptiste, Has helped me many times in the past, and I'm just amazed of her professionalism and her knowledge of how to do things at your company. She is definitely a keeper guys. I had unauthorized charges on my account. Came in all upset and left feeling really good. She really knows how to take care of your customers. I've been with you guys 20 years and have dealt with a lot of people. So I definitely want to go out of my way to send a compliment to your Plant City office.

Laylah is a superb professional. She is a dedicated young lady that has attention to detail. She works hard to help members like myself. If she does not have the answer, she researches the subject matter to help members with a solution or solutions. I am going to make this bank my primary bank because of Laylah. She is a true asset to GTE Credit Union. My 11 year old son, Julian inspired me to change banks because he was also impressed with Laylah. We’re members for life.

Plant city GTE sucks horribly ! They never answer the phone! Hire some more people, you make a ton of money anyways. I get fraud all the time and can never get the proper help! Bank somewhere else people!

If they approve your auto loan just steer clear and don’t get the car. They will tell you that auto pay is set up then you’ll have to fight with them month after month and it’ll never get done. Each month they will try charging you late fees for something they said was taken care of the month before. Then try to have you pay that as well as two months payment at once. 3rd loan I had with them. 1st 2 had same issue but was corrected after 1st payment. 3rd time and last time it could never be completely done. Refinanced with my primary bank for same amount and less terms. Just so I don’t have to deal with GTE ever again. Would not trust my money with this disorganization bank. And if they tell you they will call you, be prepared to go into the branch because you don’t get calls back from anyone. Branch and district managers both advised they would and never called after I spoke with them about the issues and was told id be called back
