“I truly appreciate this Dollar Tree. Why? It's LARGE. One of the largest ones I've ever been in! They almost always have what I need, with great holiday items in the front as you walk in, three aisles (or more) of toys, rows and rows of food items, the LARGEST card section I've ever seen in a Dollar Tree, a good selection of dollar foods (with the coolers) and even a crafters corner! They have a great selection of craft items, I was actually shocked to see all that they had to offer. The only con to this location is, almost every time we go in, the check out lanes are busy, and they only have one register open. Sometimes two. Often times, people will be lined down aisles waiting to check out. It usually doesn't take long, but can be an inconvenience to anyone in a hurry!”

“Check your purchases, items are more than $5.00 , no prices on most item, to find out prices you need to find an employee or try your luck the price is right, employees are very friendly. Month later still the same.”

“Just left the store. The staff is amazing. The storesmells great. I called ahead and asked about squishies and T-shirt souvenirs specific for Lakeland the young lady took it upon herself to Google it for me and helped direct me to the store that had the souvenir Tshirt. Thank you. And my daughter got the rare glitter purple dumpling.”

“The ladies that were working this morning were amazing, I loved their energy! My daughter and I were waiting outside in line for squishies well before they opened this morning and they weren't annoyed at all.”

“The employees are awesome, love the movie deals. I just purchased 26 black case 4k ultra movies, and you guys are a little low at the lakeland location. 😉 love the store”

“Very clean and they have produce here which is great in a pinch but the cashier wasn't pleasant. Also my frozen fruit bars were more expensive than at the one closer to me. I will give it another chance when in the area.”
Dollar General opened its 20,000th U.S. store on February 24th in Alice, Texas. It’s a major milestone for the discount chain that started as one small general store back in 1955. Starting with a ribbon cutting ceremony, the grand opening celebration began at 9am. First customers received some freebies - tote bags filled with free product samples and snacks from DG's Clover Valley brand.
