This location is very good. It is usually well stocked and clean. And as always great prices. Now they have added self checkout stations. Makes it much easier to get out of there.

Very affordable, nutritious and organized. Aldi simply is my favorite grocery store brand, and this a great location as well.

I went to Aldi for the first time ever yesterday and I must say it was a pleasant experience. The items are out and easily accessible and the prices are a steal. There’s self checkout and regular checkout lines. Be sure to bring your reusable bags because I don’t think they provide bags and also a quarter to get a shopping cart. Besides the cart being a bit difficult to dislodge, it was a pretty good experience

Aldi's is the estranged brother of Trader Joe's. The abbreviated history is that Aldi's and Trader Joe's were owned by German brother's who fell out over whether or not to sell cigarettes. One headed the chain that became Aldi's and the other chain became Trader Joe's. While Trader Joe's has great prices, Aldi will beat them and just about everyone else's prices every time. You can still signs of that German heritage all over Aldi's like in their German line of products called Deutsche Kuche, which offers offers beer, chocolate, roasted coffee, and uncured Bavarian bratwurst. If you want to save money on groceries Aldi's is a great way to do it. In order to bring you those low prices Aldi's has instituted some cost cutting measures. If you want a cart you will need to bring a quarter and to get your money back you need to return your cart from the parking lot back to the store saving employees from having to collect the carts. You will also have to bring your own bags or pay for theirs. Lines will most likely be long because they keep their staff to a bare bones minimum. Best of all is the check out. To get people through the line more quickly they will literally throw your groceries into the cart they keep chained at the check out. You will frantically try to grab your items out but will never be fast enough. I used to just carry groceries around the store in bags I brought but getting my own cart has made the checkout process a lot smoother so now I always keep a quarter hanging in an Aldi's keychain made for that purpose attached to my purse.I shop at Aldi's at least once a week. Unfortunately the locations by me have become run down. I stopped going to one because every cart was broken. I have started trying different locations when I am out and lately it is this brand new store in Plantation on Broward Boulevard near the mall. They have all the latest and greatest products along with my standards which I can't live without like kale, salad mixes, prosciutto, French roast K-cups, pineapple juice, microwave brown rice, citrus green tea, and frozen fruit blend. This week I discovered pumpkin spice butter, deep dish pizza, BBQ meatloaf, chicken pot pie, and cold foam for your coffee. When you find their seasonal or specialty products you have to jump on them before they are gone for good. Since this location is newer I find that they have a better selection of the seasonal products than other stores. The produce is also fresher and the store is very clean.I have a Mississippi roast in the crock pot for the week right now using an Aldi huck roast. You can really increase your Aldi's IQ by joining Florida Aldi Nerds! on Facebook which gives great information on how to stretch your food budget, new products, and recipes. It is where I found my roast recipe.

Loved Aldi’s prices but now that they only have self check out I’m not sure the discount is worth it. I had a cart full of groceries and I asked a manager if I could have someone check me out and he said only if I had cash. Strange, since the registers accept credit. I spent over 15 minutes checking out and bagging and that was with help! If I was alone it probably would have taken longer. This is a VERY bad customer service move. I think I’ll only stop in if I need a few things, but will probably stick with Trader Joe’s!

Great produce section, the store is very clean. Everything is always in stock, however, as much reviews say they lack in customer service. Cashiers are either on the phone, no "hello, how are you", ring you up and gives you the receipt and be done.

The place is always dirty. The floors /the outside shrubber tons of trash everywhere. There's always broken glass throughout the store and I'm talking doors and windows. Very disappointing it's a practically new store and is treated like it's about to close in a horrible neighborhood You go to Publix the floors are clean. The staff is attentive. There isn't broken glass in the strawberry Doesn't look like a garbage dump. A regional manager needs to get a handle on how things need to be cleaned and maintained. There's also homeless people always around outside begging for money ?

Aldi has removed their checkout people and installed self checkout machines. They do not care about their customer's experience. Their checkout lines were quick and efficient. For many people going to the supermarket is a chance to interact with another human. Aldi's doesn't care about this part of the experience.

Very poor selection of fruits and vegetables and everything else. The store is a bit dingy. They are often out of things. It's amazing that I have not been able to buy there a gallon size of orange juice for the last six trips that I've taken there over the past month. Also, they are not particularly nice and not particularly helpful. The only thing they have going for them is that they generally offer a good prices for the products that they have, and the quality of their fruits and vegetables is generally pretty good even though the variety is bad. The only reason to go there is price. I mostly stopped going to Publix because their prices have absolutely skyrocketed. Aldie purchased Winn-Dixie in Florida. It will be interesting to see whether Aldie pulls them up or Winn Dixie pulls them down. It's impossible to call Aldie. What a joke. There is a phone number listed in the phone number says that in order to keep prices down you can't call them. Very funny.

new self checkout is a bust. Expects you to scan as fast as the store employees. Repeatedly prompts scan next or close out. I don't need this kind of chastising pressure from a fomite with AI. Walmart is kinder, gentler and our Carribean markets still rely on human to human contact.

They have great prices.I didn't go to the store for the longest time. When I did, I was very happy. Milk is less than half of what Publix charges. Produce and vegetables are a great deal also. The ice cream is also half price then that of major grocery stores.

It’s been years since I went to Aldi but recent posts by Flav City showed me they have some awesome deals on good foods.

I like this store, produce section is great. Store is fairly new. Very clean. But the cashier was on her headset having a personal phone call checking me out. This is not cool, talk after you take care of your customers.

One of the best things about Aldi is their low price philosophy....Many of the items I buy at Aldi are private label, but after trying them out, most of them are as good as as the national brand. One exception is the ice cream....I tried their generic ice cream and I was not crazy about it, I usually shop for that somewhere else, but many of the ethnic foods they carry are very good quality and very low price. This store in Plantation is not as modern as other newer Aldi stores in the metro area, but they carry all the same items...I always bring a reusable bag for my groceries, but if I forget, I can always find some empty boxes that I can use as a vessel for my grocery items. The cashiers at this Aldi and all other Aldi stores are always so quick and efficient ringing the items and checking people out....they must be trained to be that fast....LOL...
