First time using HR Block. The rep on the phone was great but also I filed March 30 and it was rejected same day. It was done in branch with tax pro Ebony in Ft. Lauderdale. I never got an email call text nothing to tell me that. It wasn’t till today April 28th when I decided to call all for them to tell me it got rejected. On top of it all I’m being charged 400$ for this service and I don’t even have my taxes because of their mistake or whatever is going on. Usually do it on TurboTax by myself and I figured that using an actual professional it would be quicker and easier. I was wrong and very disappointed in this service. Being as this is my only experience with HR block I will never be using this service again and I expect this to be resolved asap. I was even told if I downloaded the spruce app and create an account I would get it sooner and I did all for them to not even call me when something went wrong.

Good experience on my first visit to Block. Easy to work with my preparer (Prop) who explained everything so I understood and didn't have any unanswered questions. I will return next year.

I particularly feel disappointed and not valued as a customer. I filed my taxes with HR block year by year, but this time my advisor didn’t ask the correct questions. I have to admit we as customers have to review all the information, but then if that’s the case I can file for free with turbo tax instead of paying 120 usd. Called the manager and she keeps reminding me it’s my fault…What happened is that when the advisor asked me to review my taxes, I didn’t realised my address was outdated and the payment refund method was by check (yes still in 2023). My advisor never asked if my address was still the same and never asked if I wanted a direct deposit. I even tried to update my address before filing but system didn’t actually change it.When I called the manager to give feedback she was more focused on the fact that was my mistake rather than actually admit that the advisors should ask all the questions in order to avoid any mistake. In the end we are paying for that
