I had a simple question: how do I remove a large sum of money from my own account, arguably the primary action one might want to execute at a bank. The bank rep didn’t know and continued repeating that I should “transfer it to my bank,” even after I repeated that Schwab is my bank.

This is an update to a previous review. My advisor at the time went on vacation and so I waited until his return and did not hear from him when he was supposed to be back in town. Needless to say that I was disappointed. I reached out to their national customer service and they are excellent. I felt very confident that moving to another branch might be better. The following day came and the request was supposed to be expedited and I hear nothing toward the end of the day. So I had to call the customer service line again. When the person at the plantation office called me, she started going into a barrage of questions and even wanted to know what additional assets I was going to invest with my IRA. I guess in South Florida they are not interested in you if you have a modest IRA. Needless to say I’m not going to give this an absolutely poor review since they do have excellent customer service that’s available 24/7. I live in a very wealthy area of the country and I can see that the investment firms are only interested in these clients. Since they expect you to do everything on your own on a computer online, they are no better than choosing. Betterment, Robin Hood or E*TRADE. I am looking to switch to one of those firms I was expecting much much more than my previous firm and I’m left feeling like I wish I had never left.

Most people don’t take time to write out a positive review, let alone acknowledge good in their life. Natalie was extremely kind and helpful. Hope to have more customer experiences with establishments like this. This location is NOT A BANK. Do not write reviews if you went in expecting a bank’s services.

I am looking for a financial advisor. However, based on your negative reviews, I have decided to continue my search. Thanks for posting your negative reviews along with your positive ones. Honesty is a plus. However, too many negatives. Good Customer Service is a must for me!

Only gave them one star because there wasn’t a zero. I guess I didn’t look affluent enough. 2 men and 2 women walked past me with no one in the place but me. The receptionist was on the phone 10-15 min before she spoke to me. She didn’t know how to do the name change on my account to trust. And had to ask the one guy in the first office. Then after all this, I asked why they didn’t even acknowledge me when I came in. She tells me they are ONLY wealth managers. How freaking rude! I have jeans on so I don’t look like I have wealth?

I contact them to make an appointment and a consultant sounded very annoyed when I asked that I wanted to learn more about their services. He then said that the portfolios started at 100K and 500k. I was never given further information on their services. If you are not already familiar with mutual funds or stocks is a waste of time to contact them as they are not willing to give an appointment or through information.

Drove 35 min just to see they are closed for “inclement weather “ lol , online shows open . Hurricane not even suppose to hit this arena and not until Thursday anyway , it’s Tuesday today . Work ethic at its finest

I have been dealing with banks and finance people my entire life in many different places.
Yanet actually took the time to treat me like a human and not a number. Very rare to find actually good customer service at a bank.
Thank you YANET

Schwab is the worst! I miss Ameritrade!! Schwab was having sign in issues with their app and desktop versions earlier this wk. Its since been fixed but now I'm locked out of my account. I called and waited on hold for 40 min and gave up. I called another number and got through but the guy kept asking me for a verbal pswd which was news to me. I told him I have the voice recognition pswd that they make you use when you first call. Why then ask for a verbal pswd??! He told me he couldn't help me without it. He said I would have to visit a Schwab office. I traveled out of my way to go to this Plantation office and I find this f'n note on the door! No matter what I do I can't seem to get any help getting into my account. Time to change brokerages. I've had it with Schwab! Do yourselves a favor and avoid Schwab like the plague. This nonsense is costing me money!

I returned to Charles Schwab to finish my procedure and was assisted today by Mr. Motaz Sarsour, who was at the reception. His treatment was very respectful, kind and fast. He completed my procedure, updated my information and directed what I was missing. He was also very professional. I am very satisfied, excellent service and guidance. Many blessings for them, thank you

I didn't have an appointment but was helped quickly by the young woman at the front desk. I'm sorry that I didn't get her name. It was a very nice experience. I've been there before and I've always been treated with respect and given all the help that I needed.

Called branch several times all ended up answered by the national representative. They emailed the branch but I've never received a call back. I verified with representative and they said the office is open to 5pm. I came to the branch at 4:15pm. The office is closed. After reading the reviews...their head quarter need to do something.
