I’ve been a regular banfield client for over 15 years. This weekend I had an emergency with my lab who had a knee injury and couldn’t use her back right leg. I was forced to go to the new location at pompano and the doctor Mr Hannwacker is not even one of their doctors. He did not use her previous Xray images and said she had bad hips— he never addressed her knee injury which we came in for. Then they did not give me the referral for an orthopedic and said we don’t have a fax or scanner to send it I would have to drive back up and get it. When the doctor gave me a quote for $203 he said some arthritis medicine plus her current pain medication refill and blood work. Then when I came to pick her up I wait and waited for no doctor to come speak to me just sent me on my way with one medication. When I got my follow up call demanding my referral they had no insight into anything they did for my dog (because they did nothing) and then said I can come again to get the medication they forgot for the severe pain she was in and pay additional $43. This is a joke facility and they have not given any adequate care and I will be leaving banfield permanently

Great energy never seen a different vibe when I took my pet for any care and always been the same very nice and happy to see Bruno and I’ve been going there about 3 years and it’s one of my favorite stores ?
Always buying something for my pet when I go there but anyway I will definitely give them the 5 star ⭐️

The front desk was horrible. She rather be on her cell talking about why she cant bring beer home being pregnant … and then the vet i saw had no bedside manor and told me my baby needs a diet when she has been the same weight for 6 years. And needs more exercise. She is 21 pounds - 9 year old Boston Terrier / the dr that saw her a month prior didnt say not has anyone prior. Terrible. Just horrible.

Banfield sucks. They steal your money, they’ll renew your contract if you don’t cancel it in time. They’ll over charge you. And they never really explain what plan they want you to sign up for. They’ll tell you that you’re getting an all inclusive plan and then you’ll find yourself still paying out of pocket because “well that’s not included.” I signed up with my Saint Bernard puppy for the puppy plan. They obviously knew she was a Saint Bernard. That included a spaying. When the time to spay came around, they said they couldn’t do it because the “vet refuses to spay any dog over 60 lbs.” so please tell me what I paid for for a year?! 10/10 would never recommend are you kidding? LOL we are now part of a local small mom and pop vet and it’s less expensive, more personable and very reliable.

They killed my dog. Was using drop off, Big mistake. Brought her in for a wellness checkup and 2 weeks later she was dead. The vet or staff didn't tell me she had a serious heart problem and lung cancer. Within the 2 weeks her belly started to swell. Brought her back in as this was an emergency, was told there was no one to see her as the vet will be in surgery all day spaying and neutering. I found another vet to see her as a walk in. Was told of the heart and lung problem and that tumor burst in the belly and she was bleeding internally. Was shown xrays and was in complete shock. It was too late to treat her and had maybe a week to live. I was never informed from Banfield that she was severely sick. She was only 6 years old.

I had a scheduled appointment for Monday March 18th at the pompano beach location. When I came in the assistant found my appointment sat me in a room just to come minutes later of me waiting to say there was no doctor to see my pet for the day. The tech then said that she can reschedule me for 8:30 am on Wednesday March 20th,2024. I said okay she asked me for information and confirmed that the appointment was set. When I came in on Wednesday for the scheduled appointment. The tech that was working couldn’t pull up my information and said that there was no appointment. She suggested I do a drop off but I refused because it’s been so inconvenient trying to get serviced by this team. There was no apologies made for a mistake made on their end and no proper accommodations. I am completely unsatisfied and would never recommend that location. It’s way too unorganized

Took my cat in for ear infection saw Dr Catherine Belley and she was wonderful. Loved Nicole at the front desk very nice and professional. Alicia in the back was really sweet, professional and took great care of my kitty!

Everytime (almost literally) my cat gets into a fight with a moderate or worse injury- the staff members at Banfield fix her up and with the quickness :) ?⬛️ thank you friends- you're really the best

The staff at the Banfield pet hospital in Pompano is fantastic. The vet technicians veterinarians are very professional knowledgeable. They explain everything very clearly and our pleasure to work with. I highly recommend using the Banfield pet hospital in Pompano Beach as your primary source for all your pets healthcare needs.

Absolute negligence is the only way to describe the staff at this location. Taking advantage of the elderly to start. Messed up a simple biopsy. Only to have us come in to do it again. Negligent post op treatment and laughed when we complained. Don't take your animals here. 3.2 rating and should be lower.

My pet had surgery with bladder stones , and the urine tests were included in the plan and they never identified huge stones and before the expiration of my contract they refused to give my pet a vaccine that was expired , horrible plan , and the service left much to be desired, your pet deserves better care!09/14/23 todayI sent you an email weeks ago and no one has responded, in reality you respond because you HAVE to respond but you don't care the money continues to come in, in no way will it be mine again, but from other unsuspecting people. My pet still had a valid contract and you refused to give him the missing vaccine! What they did is absurd!
