Obviously they don’t want to make a sale especially if a customer is willing to drive 5.5 hours away to buy the vehicle. Got it transferred to a closer location and they made everything I wanted happen.

The whole process of selling my car was easy! I sold to Carmax my 2019 Chevrolet Equinox, the car was in excellent condition and had less than 28,000 miles, the dealer from where I bought it, offered me $14,000, Carvana $15,200 and Carmax $16,000. I took the Carmax offer and within an hour I walked out with my check!!!

Hope this review finds future customers shopping at Carmax. DONT. I thought that carmax would be the safest way to purchase a preowned vehicle turns out I was wrong. Purchased a fairly new ,low mile , single owner ,pickup truck along with Maxcare extended warranty. Truck had 45k miles when I bought it. gave me first issue at 50k. Came back to Carmax to get it resolved and was told that I did not purchase Maxcare plan. Went back and forth until I brought in the original paperwork that says what I had purchased. And was given a date 3 weeks later to come in for repair. 1k miles later major issues with the vehicles transmission that didn’t get solved till about 6k miles, 5 months , hundreds of calls , and multiple visits. turns out Carmax and MaxCare is BS and you shouldn’t spend your money on it.
Shop everywhere else but here.

I recently had a disappointing experience with CarMax. I had to return the car I purchased because it was infested with cockroaches. Although they did make an effort to resolve the issue, the "no haggle" policy made it impossible for me to find a suitable replacement vehicle. As a result, I'm now left without a car.

Do not pay the max. No service to get one home if they sell them the car. Do not recommend. Go to car drop down the block from them.
