“As an agnostic, attending church services is not something I typically do, but I recently joined a friend for a visit to the First Congregational Church of Wilton Manors. I found the experience unexpectedly positive and welcoming.
From the moment I arrived, the friendly atmosphere was evident. The congregation greeted me warmly, making me feel comfortable despite being an unfamiliar face. The service was engaging, with messages focusing on themes like love, kindness, and community. These universal values resonated with me and felt relevant regardless of religious beliefs.
What impressed me most was the church’s dedication to community service and social justice. They seem actively involved in various outreach programs, supporting those in need within the local area. This commitment to making a positive impact aligns with values that I hold dear, even as someone who doesn’t follow a particular faith.

“UPDATE** A year in a church where I thought I found family, friends, my spiritual walk with those who could keep me accountable. The thing with these big “mega” wanna be churches is — the ones who serve behind it.
You cannot be a Christian with liberal ideologies and with unrighteous morals. People know what happens behinds closed doors and remain quiet, turn the blind eye.
I don’t think God lurks in those walls and the holy spirit isn’t moving there. Rally? Filled with young adults that leave those events and the next day are doing what they ask for forgiveness on a Sunday morning for. Use discernment friends, God doesn’t like imposters and injustice. I pray for those hypocrites that warm up a seat on a Sunday and by Monday morning the mask comes off. Godspeed.

Beautiful church.
I was so amazed this past weekend at how welcoming, nice, and the word Pastor Hughes delivered this Sunday.
I come from potential church and this was extremely different and aligned with my journey and where I am supposed to be. I am so happy I found a new home church and my children loved it! I cannot wait to serve in ministry with these lovely people!”
“I went to Sunday school here. I love Jesus. I was baptized and I did my first communion here... I was a kid when I used to go to the funds raiser public fair I still remember the remember walking that Circle it was the coolest right and the chocolate donuts with coffee in the cafeteria. To My Sunday classmates whoever you guys were? I hope you're all doing great in life. I was 9 years old so it had to be 1997-1998... I just want to say thank you to the church. I have always been a kid that didn't stay in line. And I honestly want to thank God and Jesus because if not for the lessons That I learned here when I was a child, by the sisters I would have made a lot of mistakes as A teenager juvenile delinquent. As an adult I'm watching the TV show. The Chosen One. And I cry so hard as I see this and I remember the stories the sisters nuns taught us in Sunday school ?. “I had driven by this Chevron and, from the street, it looked like a good station that I might want to start using. I couldn't find it on Google Maps in order to check the price. When I got to the pump I found out that the price is 10 cents per gallon more than the station that I regularly use. Therefore I won't use this station anymore.”
