The Home Depot consistently has everything I require for my sheet metal business. Thanks to my pro account, I'm able to see my savings on larger orders. However, I've encountered some older employees who seem hesitant to assist, and their expressions suggest they would rather not be bothered. Additionally, the cashiers at the customer service area can be a bit slow. Despite these issues, it's still an excellent place to pick up supplies for my next project.

No one answers the phone. I need to speak with my rep to proceed with a prepaid install order yet the extensions and store do not answer. When someone did answer and said she couldn’t help me or find my rep I asked to speak with a manager to see if they could help with proceeding with my order. But the staff on the phone said the managers are in their daily afternoon meeting and there is no start or end time to the managers meeting so they couldn’t give me a time to call back. Refusing to give the phone to a manager when I wanted to speak to one about an order I wanted placed is unacceptable.

I enjoy shopping at my Home Depot. I can usually find what I need, except an employee. That being said, pricing for the most part is decent, wonderful variety of plants. One of my favorite places...

I was asked to describe what happened, I feel like I need to share those details in here as well.
Hi, I don't know what else to explain, aside from getting the worse customer service ever. An employee (Danii) staring at a customer, who only went in to do a return.
This return turned into such ab ordeal.
3 items were to be returned.
The employee doesn't greet, and from the moment of the first contact, she showed nothing but a deminer personality.
Like she was boss.
Sure thing if she has experience and knowledge and efficiency.
But when none of those are there it's a problem.
She came around to scan the 2 items on top of the drywall while asking the reason for the return?
I said all items are in a brand new unused condition.
Anyone else would have noticed that the seal isn't broken. That would have been good enough to move on with the next item.
Instead she proceeded with getting a knife and opening the seal and looking through a box of .7 mil plastic. And clearing was unopened and unused.
She went on to the next item, a milwaukee dril set. She opened it, by this time it had been already 6 or 7 min.
I was being very patient. She opened the bag containing the drills then she looked at me and yelled: "hey, hey.." while I was surprised with the language she was using with a client, she also made a sign with her right fingers folding signaling me to come.
Being very surprised, I was really hoping for a strange finding inside the bag of milwaukee causing her to disregard protocol and call me with disrespect.
I went in towards her to discover that she was simply asking me to remove the batteries form two drills so she can count all items and match them with the picture in the back of the box.
I figured, due to her looking young and probably being new in the store, she was being trained still, so mistake should accure, but must be infront of a manager.
Never the less the wasted time continued.
She looked st the drywall and said: "we can't take this, it's damaged"
I showed my receipt that I bought 82 sheets of drywall and home depot loaded them in my truck and because HD used a forklift, I wasn't able to see the damaged drywall until I unloaded them by hand that evening.
She didn't care and said that she has to call someone.
And immediately left with a poker face, no customer service what so ever.
At this time a good 15 min have gone by.
She was gone for about 10 12 min and came back with another employee who allowed her to make the return.
While was counting the drywall, she was counting 2 sheets as 1 item, I removed the paper holding two of them together and she wouldn't take that.
My point was to show her that that paper was hiding to sheets of drywall, but making drama out of it was more priority that completing a transaction for a very patient customer.
While a colleague jumped in to complete the transaction, she stared at me for a good 2 min long enough for me to notice that it was actually her intension.
So I told her that staring at me won't make her feel better. She related: " yes it do".
She said other things nothing but disrespectful making me so humiliated, I told her that she shouldn't be at customer service. She kept on going and wouldn't just let this go.
That was the worst time I ever had experienced in my whole entire life.
Getting attacked verbally and emotionally by an employee and wasted a good 30 min per transaction. It was an absolute humiliation.
I hope that you can invest in more efficient training and have managers who care present during business hours to solve issues like that.
And i hope that this event serves as very thorough description perhaps also as a mystery shopper report.
Honestly, if whoever reads this ca

A very nice young fellow named Jermaine offered to load the trunk of earth and mulch. He managed to get everything in the trunk quickly and efficiently. He was also very professional and polite.

They now require employees to stand over your shoulder while they also make you go through the self check out instead of registers. They get rid of the registers and then harass you as you forcing me to check yourself out. If you’re going to make us check ourselves out, then don’t harass us and stand over our shoulders like we are criminals.
