This well developed and excellently preserved lighthouse and surrounding compound is packed with history, several great exhibits and many artifacts from several distinct eras. The collection of old light house lenses here is a preeminent collection of national and international significance. The lighthouse itself is in excellent condition and open the public for climbing. Going to the top appearing out from the guardrail is a thrill in this beautiful and stout historic structure. Give yourself at least 2 hours to properly enjoy this location when visiting.

A very clean, and shaded park. Love to come here and eat a sandwich or eat an ice cream after a race weekend!

I was drawn to the the lighthouse and when we got there we found this park. I felt like my late mother guided me to this place. Her name was Kay Davis and I have a grand father by the name of Ayre. No relation, just an interesting coincidence. Felt like I was in the right place at the right time. Beautiful area.

Took our kids to the playground here and they enjoyed it. The pirate ship theme got them excited. It was moderately busy, with a birthday party going on at the nearby pavilion. Swings were nice, even the 2 facing swing for toddlers was nice to see.

My son loved this park. It was so hard to get him to leave. Very nice and clean. Especially the bathrooms. Which is always important.
