Worth the Visit
At first we were not impressed as phone calls were not answered or returned but we did get good service when we went there in person
Alicia was the staff member who helped us. She explained they were really short staffed today and phones could not be answered on time.
We needed a triptik and she was able to do it on the spot. She also said there was a promotion and the spouse could be added for free until the end of the year. I was happy about that.
The most helpful piece of advice, we thought, was about the Sunpass Pro which we did not know about. We only had the Sunpass mini but the portable Sunpass Pro would be a great help for interstate travels.
The AAA building is easy to find, and is shared by AAA and the Charlotte County Tax Collector.
All in all, it was a very worthwhile trip to AAA

AAA took out membership fees without my permission, and SHOULD NOT hv kept my bank card for 2yrs ..WTH..$142 gone on fri..pm..now hv to fight to get money back..WTH..THEY HAVE NO RIGHT TO KEEP MY CREDIT INFO, WHEN VERBAL AND MANUAL CHECKED BOX TO NOT KEEP MY INFO.,WHEN MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION AND PURCHASE APPLIED..AAA IS A CRIMINAL ENTERPRIZE..

I went into the AAA center located in Port Charlotte for documents to be notarized. I was met with very kind employees. They seemed happy with their jobs and appeared happy. They were also very informative when I asked specific questions about my membership.
I inquired about the Passport services they offer and learned that as a member, passport photos were free, which I will be taking advantage of in the near future. I was also informed of AAA offers they recommend which was enlightening, although I do not need such services at this time.
The process of the notarization was fast, thorough, simple and best of all, free to members. The notary was very kind and conversational.
On a side note, I’ve had AAA for a number of years and between discounts and services rendered (towing and locksmith) they have been phenomenal to have. I recommend a membership with them if you don’t already have a membership with another auto club.
Thank you ladies for the work provided and the pleasant atmosphere and interactions.

Large, clean office with lots of employees and materials like maps and brochures. I didn’t have an appointment but I only waited a minute or two before they called my name. I was there to get information for a cross-country
road trip, and they were very helpful. I wish I knew the lady’s name who helped me so I could give her a shout out, because she sent me an email with even more information after I left. Highly recommend!

I still like to pour over paper maps and Triptiks when I plan my adventures, and AAA is the best place to get national and international travel info. Their travel agents are well versed on a variety of aspects, including suggestions on the best places to wine and dine. On my last trip to Charleston, agent Alisha had some wonderful ideas on how to best spend my time eating, shopping, sleeping, and experiencing prime tourist landmarks. In fact, I eventually landed on her bulletin board of clients who appreciated her help. Check out their website for all their other services.

Currently on route 75. Vehicle broke down. Called for service at 2pm. Currently 7:52. Almost 6 hours have passed. Still no one available and it might be another 90 minutes. They have had delays they say. Has all of Florida broken down?? Beyond ridiculous.
