Incompetent Personal BankersI’m having the worst experience with this bank! The bankers (I had the unpleasant opportunity to have the blonde Spanish woman “help me”, she was the rudest person working in customer service I have ever met. If you don’t like people why are you working in a position where you deal with people!) are frustrating, you say something they don't like, they get in their feelings and delay your requests just to inconvenience you more, she was rude, unprofessional and just awful at her job!Whenever you need something, you need to mail or fax in a request to get it, then you have to wait for approval, and if they FEEL like being nice, will send or transfer your request either the next day or the next week!!! They're racist as well because whenever I have my husband (white man) going in to do business with them, they treat him very well (a little too well if you know what I mean), greeting him with a smile and helping him right away, before you know, he's already out the door feeling like the king he thinks he is.But when I walk in I'm waiting for 20 minutes, I say the longest I've waited to be helped was half an hour when I obviously see employees standing to the side drinking their coffee, taking calls and talking to each other while ignoring the only customer in the branch, I don't get greeted with a warm welcome, not even a smile, and all of a sudden, there's a problem with my request. An hour later they figure out the situation and send me on my way. They are completely unprofessional, the branch is clearly run by incompetent people who hire even further incompetent people. Literally go to any other bank to get the basics of customer service.

Elayne was professional and efficient. Opening up a new bank account with BMO in Port Charlotte was easy.

Horrible company. They bought out my bank of the west account and everytime I call I get someone that barely speaks English and they won't give me access to the info on my account and won't take a payment. They keep telling me I need to download their app or set up an account through them online which I will not do. I didn't need it through bank of the west so they will need to have the same services offered by the previous lender. I keep trying to get to a supervisor and they put me on hold for over an hour or they hang up. All I can say is IF YOU EVER NEED A LOAN OR BANKING SERVICE DEFINITELY DONT USE THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY.

A blonde haired woman. Not at her station. Rude as all heck with an attitude. I explained, "Thank God I don't have my money in your bank. Then I told her how much I had. Eat it. You're a rude piece of garbage.

It's now been 3 full weeks since the hurricane damage, yet BMO has done nothing to facilitate it's ability for it's Port Charlotte area customers to be able to access their accounts. Nothing at the bank other than a hand scribbled sign that says, "Bank Close" use ATM. They have nothing on their website that even mentions the hurricane damage or gives customers any clue as to how/when they can access their accounts. As a customer who doesn't have an ATM card, I have no way to access my accounts. This is a severe problem when many stores/businesses could only take "cash" for purchases. I spent 48 minutes on the phone talking with a customer service (a misnomer) dept. representative and also a supervisor. They had absolutely no information as to when the bank would be able to service their customers in this area. Their response was that there was nothing they could do to help the situation. I told them that I'd seen two other banks who had to close their locations due to hurricane damage, but instead of leaving their customers stranded with no way to access their accounts, they rented new space and set up temporary banking facilities with a few days of the hurricane. BMO obviously doesn't care about their SW Florida customers and the branch manager here is useless.

I read the critics and i see i am not the only one with problems with them... I had an account in a Mesa Az branch, they cashed a forged check on my account. A 5th grade kid would have seen it was forged but they didn't... it also took 6 months and 4 phone calls to make an address change... and so on...Go to any bank but them

They never have money have money when I go in there and tell me I have to order in advance so I called a week early to be able to withdraw $5,000 and they say they won’t have that much money until next month. They’re a bank… every time I need to do anything bank related I have to drive up to the BMO in Sarasota. They are also usually very hateful and difficult to deal with. Worst bank ever

I recently moved to Florida and this bank refused to give me money from my checking or savings account. They said because I showed activity from Indiana and now Florida that I had to call corporate! Corporate couldn't help and everyone was so rude to me I was shocked. I opened my account in Indiana and they were giving me a hard time because I didn't have a Florida ID! They didn't take into account the COVID lockdown and had made my life a living hell. I spent over 400 to take 5 trips to the branches, not to mention there were only 7 in the state of Florida. I would never recommend anyone use this banking institution! The girl who opened my account in Indiana was the best but when I got to Florida it was a nightmare especially in Punta Gorda. I've never had any bank scream at me and keep my money from me! Be aware that this bank is not the best bank and keep searching. I've been waiting over 2 weeks to try and close my account and everyday I have to call and leave messages! Shame on this bank not to mention I'm on disability and don't need the stress! Once again if you think this bank is for you keep on searching. Horrible customer service
