Poor rental vehicle condition. Windshield wipers not operational for journey in heavy storm. The condition of the wipers was not noticed at pick up so I departed to home 30 minutes journey away. Fault was only visible then.Rental pick up office uncontactable due to their phone being routed through to the US national office. Central customer services agent helpful but unable to raise answer or response from the local pick up office for replacement vehicle as I needed delivery of vehicle since I did not have time to return to the rental office before required departure time. Totally frustrated! I had to drive car with non operational windshield wipers on Interstate with much heavy rain and surface water. Very dangerous! Will look for another agent.

Do not attempt to return a car to Miami! No staff to attend. We did a same day meeting m December 31 and still have not received our $200 deposit which we were told we would get right away!

Firstly, insurance not included that hikes up the cost of the rental considerably. Secondly, my receipt states surcharges of $741.97 with no explanation of why or what these surcharges are for. A total rip off if I am being honest. So much so it puts me off going to Florida with these extortionate costs. After COVID the costs increased enormously and they have stayed high. The car itself was fine.

Second time in a few months that people at this branch tried to charge me for fuel. The very first time I thought it may be mistake, but the same happened again; not a mistake. Be aware and pay attention, review the receipt before leaving the property. I was pushed to leave and " they will email me receipt".Car was not clean completely and only large/visible garbage was removed. Watchout !

Returned rental car here. Unfortunately a cell phone was left in the car by mistake. We called and they found it and we went to collect it. We were very lucky the car had not yet been cleaned and rented out again

Poor customer service, nasty attitudes, and not very informational. !st time renter of Budget and i only decided to try them out because Thay are open on Sundays, which makes it easier for a 1 day use and not having to keep the entire weekend cause they don't open. They attempted to over me charge at this Port Charlotte, Fla location twice. !st time when picking it up, and after I returned. It was the same young lady. When I brought it to her attention, she verified that it was incorrect but told me that I had to call the main number because she couldn't correct it. And got annoyed when I brought it to her attention. attempted to check me out without going over/ clarifying the charges, and without providing me an invoice. But I knew better. But the kicker was that here were also two other customers there returning that was arguing about being quoted one thing and over charged. Be-ware. they will get over on you if they can. Budget needs to close this location or do a clean sweep of workers. They are unorganized there and their attitudes are not represented of good customer service. Dealing with this location and those workers is why Enterprise is leading in rental sales.

More expensive than competitors and poor customer service.Employees are combative.Cars are not in good shape for what you're paying, dings, gouges, scrapes, dents, dirt, ashes, stains, etc. Rented from them in February of this year to "save money" from Enterprise but ended up paying more in additional fees. Surprise! I said then "never again".The Avis side (same employees) is an eligible Uber rental dealer full service on the Uber site but employees refuse to serve Uber drivers with reservations and provide no customer service to assist with this "change." Then they'll mock you from the office window as you call other Avis sites outside the building to change your reservation (Yes, I saw you.)Thankfully the location I did receive the Uber rental from earned a positive review.In Port Charlotte, just go to Enterprise. You'll save money and receive better service and better cars.

Staff here are very rude and don’t seem like they care. It’s an Avis/budget problem I have used enterprise and they are by far the more superior establishment. They don’t do thorough investigation of cars and are not cleaned out properly.

Lease amount changes every month and not by just a couple of dollars. One time it is 300.00 more than lease amount. Next time it is over 400 more and the next time is over 700 more. It will take days to get an answer even if you get one. The companies who do the oil changes will not honor Budget because they said they never get paid by them. They take lease amount out on the last day of the montg and then again on the first day of the month. I am leasing abtruck for our vompany and they just took over 1400 and then over 1700. This is absolutely rediculous.

We've had really bad service at other car rental places, but this place was absolutely wonderful. If you need to rent a vehicle don't hesitate to go here. Very friendly and very helpful.

They rented a car to me that reeked of smoke. I even have a signed receipt that it stunk, but they charged 267.50 anyway. Their cars are dirty, stinky. Save money and use Hertz or Enterprise. You cannot trust these people or the customer service people.

I was expecting a smaller more fuel efficient vehicle.When picking up the car I think that the staff were less helpful than they could have been (they were better when dropping off).The time table for pick ups and drop offs is pretty aggressive, as I would prefer to rent by the hour rather than having a whole additional day tacked on for not being able to return the vehicle by an inconvenient time (Pick up times are not always good drop off times, give me some non-penalized wiggle room).I wanted to modify my reservation prior to the pick up to have more days, but wasn't able to. Considering I did not get the fuel efficient car I wanted and that cost me more in gas the additional charges and penalties struck me as obnoxious.

We picked up a rental car from this location while in town. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We will definitely continue to use this location when in town.

Great place to rent a car from! The staff there are nice friendly and made the process very fast and easy! We’re definitely coming back!!
