Extremely Unprofessional and Overpriced Experience
I had one of the worst customer service experiences at Grease Monkey, and I feel compelled to share it. I brought my vehicle in due to an issue with the battery, expecting a straightforward check or replacement. Instead, I was overcharged significantly for services I never approved. When I calmly questioned the charges, the manager, Lisa, became extremely hostile, even going as far as to curse at me.
To top it off, she threatened to tow my car simply for asking for a breakdown of the bill. I’ve never been treated so poorly at any business, let alone an auto shop. Her aggressive behavior and lack of professionalism were completely out of line.
I strongly advise others to avoid this location. There are honest and respectful shops out there that won’t try to take advantage of you or intimidate you when you speak up.

Lisa (the manager) knows her stuff! I have been coming here for a couple years and the service and communication is top notch. It's tough to trust people these days so i imagine that is why you are reading this review. I can tell you that i trust them and will continue to do business here!

The service was fast and efficient. Ash was professional and polite. The best thing is that they didn’t try to sell me any filters because Ash said mine were fine.

Be careful ive been going here for a while now without saying anything they add a $15 dollar (special oil filter charge to your bill) what a shady practice to do.

Last year you charged me $29.99 to rotate my tires, This year you charged me $49.99 to rotate my tires. Won't be back for a third time.

WOW!
I was reading reviews as a professional mechanic for 40+ years because i had nothing to do in this hell hole Gilligan's Island y'allcall a state. Folks, the negative reviews of people with oil dripping and dip stick and nail in tires etc, those are your trash Karen's and Bidens and Pelosis.. ignore those loose tools, Biden is their daddy and Obama their mamma.
If I could add a reply to each one of them, I would. But instead, I will address just few;
Guy who needed two courts of oil, you need to run your vehicle more then you run your garbage can to the curb, when vehicles sit, they age faster then if they were driven 100k, you running your engine dry and you will pay for it dearly.
Lady with nail in tire, you sound like you were a brat and don't know when to bite your tongue. Just because 4 wheels were removed and two were rotated but two couldn't be, doesn't mean people work for free, pay them for finding your nail in tire that you didn't have the eyes to find because you on your damn phone and saving you a blowout roll over & your life and go get it fixed instead of venting at the fact you don't have a man to rotate your tires.
Dip stick customer, you are a dip stick. Dip sticks don't get unscrewed and screwed on to change oil, just letting you know. Whichever monkey put their hands on your vehicle prior to the oil change is the responsible one. I doubt you can prove that this shop was the only one that serviced your vehicle since you bought it.
Salty Life was my xWife, heat and humidity suck, run a shop fan

Recently moved to the area from Ruskin FL where we had great experience with the Grease Monkey (GM) there. Stopped at this GM in Port Charlotte for oil change and tire rotation. Their price for oil change was DOUBLE what we paid at GM in Ruskin. And yes, it was same synthetic oil.
After 30 minutes or so service tech comes in and tells us they can’t get lug nuts off because Ford put a decorative cap on the lugs with that vehicle. I was aware of that as I had changed a tire before and had to go buy the 22mm ratchet. I told dude I had the appropriate sized ratchet but he had no interest in using my tool; mumbling something about ‘liability’ if they used my tool.
I’ve had that car 7+ years and probably 15 tire rotations over that time. I have NEVER had a dealer or service station tell me they couldn’t get the lugs off. In fact the GM in Ruskin put new tires on the vehicle 6 months ago and had no problem removing or reinstalling lug nuts.
We will certainly NOT be returning to this location for service of any type.

I wanted to take a moment to write a "Thank-you" to Lisa and her crew for all the times your company has demonstrated it's willingness to do things the "right way", and in a manner that keeps the consideration of the customer in mind. I’ve been a frequent customer for years now with several vehicles. They have always been reliable, always accurate. Lovely people to help you take care of your car. I have been fortunate to find an honest auto shop that always treats me like family!
