Habitat for Humanity has a resale store called ReStore. They have a large variety of items from furniture, to pictures, to building supplies, etc. I’ve purchased a few items over the years, and they always seem to have pretty decent prices for the items they have.

We have the pleasure of living next to 2 HFH houses in Port Charlotte. Both houses are dumps and not maintained at all. 1 house os a drug deen. They need to do a better job at screening people they help.

This not for profit company is a scam and a fraud. They act like they are helping people but treat their future home owners like trash. Then when the house is done there are tons of problems they won't fix. They get everything for free then charge the homeowner for everything. The homeowner has to work harder for the house then habitat ever will. Habitat needs to be closed down . Complete fraud! All while pocketing millions!

It's a alright store, not too much selection this past visit, as far as furniture or household items. Prices bit in steep side too. But overall worth checking out if you need something.

Wouldn't recommend donating to this organization, had a 1 year old sofa refused for donation because it was "worn out" ? it has been in our unused guest room since new, I didn't know sofas wear out from not being used. It seems more likely the pickup staff was too lazy to cary it down stairs since their mood immediately changed when they were told it was upstairs and not where they could just throw it on the wheeled dolly and roll it into the truck. Sad to see that people in need as we are recovering from the hurricane are being denied quality furniture because the staff is too lazy.

Very odd experience.I was dropping off new clothes for men and women, a single chair that look brand new, DVDs odds-and-ends.I was just turned away. The new clothes that I have looked much better than the worn-out clothes hanging on the rack in the store, But the lady said not interested. The last thing I wanted to do is give it to Goodwill.

They have done wonders with this place, clean with plenty merchandise to offer. I was inquiring about having a furniture donation picked up and they gave me information on who to call to arrange for free pickup. They do charge $75.00 for delivery which is fair. I was there on Senior Day and everything was half price!
