Shakim came to my home yesterday and replaced my windshield on my Jeep. He was amazing! He was very kind and nice to talk to. He took care of my vehicle. He made my windshield look like it never happened. He is a great guy!!

I am really starting to lose it with this store. This all started a year ago. I had my glass repaired after a rock hit it. The tech back then told me the fill would not last, and that I would need to have my windshield replaced. Well he was right, it started cracking again recently. So off to the Safelite in Port Charlotte. The first trip last week, the glass conveniently broke. So, they rescheduled. This second time (Monday September 16th 2024) they replaced the glass however they told me they couldn't calibrate the camera because ("according to the person at the front desk") the system bracket was installed crooked and that they needed to call my insurance company to get a new authorization, to order another piece of glass. BS! ( but this is not what the guy who called me said. He said they had done it.) It worked perfectly on the old windshield. So if the bracket was crooked it was something that the installer did in error. He told me I was incorrect. Really? But if it worked before you touched it.... I am still waiting for my car to be fixed. I now have an error message on my car and the safety features do not work at all and they are taking their time to get back to me.

Had a 12-5 appointment today for windshield replacement. No call- no show.
My experience seems to match many others that have left reviews as well.
Unfortunately didn’t see reviews till after.
Terrible way to handle business.

They did great work last year. I had a replacement done again a couple of weeks ago. The weatherstripping came out. I scheduled an appointment over the phone for a mobile visit. Now they are acting like that never happened. Way to go. Very inconvenient and unproffessional.

Had our windshield replaced here on a model 3 Tesla , they cut the wires for the camera and tried to cobble them back together. Needless to say it didn't work and neither did several of the car features. They told me to bring back for recalibration , we live two hours away , so I took it back and then they tell me it has to go to Tesla service. What the hell happened to just being honest , not only did I waste my time and electricity going back and forth but they won't even answer their phone. Now we have a bill from Tesla that apparently we will have to jump through many hoops to get reimbursed!! I hope this review helps someone

I scheduled a simple mobile repair for a small chip in my windshield. Their online scheduling seemed quick and easy. I picked an 8-10am appointment window. They then emailed/texted me confirmation of an 8-12 appointment window, which was a bit annoying but not a big deal. Then, despite sending me more emails and text confirmations of this morning's appointment, they didn't show up for it. When I called in, their automated system recognized my phone number and told me I have an upcoming appointment for 2 weeks from now. I stayed on the line trying to speak with someone about why my appointment was rescheduled without any notification or communication with me, and after about 10 minutes on hold, their system gave me a recording that no one is available to take my call and hung up on me. After calling another number I found for them, I got a person who was unable to reach anyone at the local store, but said they were showing my glass was still on order and that may be why the appointment was rescheduled. I explained that it was just a repair and shouldn't need any glass ordered and she informed me it was set up as a replacement. During their online wizard, I most certainly chose the REPAIR option for this small chip. They clearly have major problems with their computer systems or the people that don't know how to use them. Now I've lost a half day and still have the same chipped glass. Thanks for nothing, Safelite!

Normally since they deserve it I would give them 5 stars, but in 2024 I feel like all 5 star reviews are bots, and want to make sure this is seen. I am not a bot. So I caught a rock on my windshield that caused a nice 2" wide spider. The Geico app made it very easy to set up an appointment. I went in 10 minutes before my scheduled time, they said a repair was not possible, and needed replacement. I wasn't there 5 minutes, I left before my scheduled time lol. Went back the following week (as they do not stock every windshield imaginable for every model vehicle), and they told me 2-3 hours. Right on the dot of the 2 hour mark they called me telling me I was good to go. I have zero issues, zero leaks (after LOTS of rain), and my driving assist was calibrated perfectly. Customer service member Brian I think his name was, answered all my questions with patience, and detail on how to treat a new windshield. My experience here was perfect.

I took my vehicle in for a windshield replacement. Following my service I was driving 70mph on a major highway and my windshield wipers BLEW AWAY off of my car during a rainstorm because the technician did not reattach them properly. The wipers hit another vehicle and I could had zero visibility during the rainstorm from their mistake, luckily I did not crash or hurt anyone else. I had to purchase new wipers $100 and I have been trying to contact Safelite for 3 days for reimbursement but you can’t call the shop directly. So far, my call has been dropped 3x after 15 min attempts, the call center employees have transferred me to Safelite shops that I did not go to, and when I finally did reach the shop that serviced my vehicle, the manager still has not contacted me for three days now. Because of this, I had to leave work early (since it rains every day in Florida at unexpected times and I cannot be without windshield wipers) and take my car to my dealership to get it serviced instead. The technician told me that the motor for my wipers was about to break due to the malfunction which would have been an even larger problem. I will tell everyone to explore ANY other option for glass replacement other than Safelite and I will NEVER use Safelite again.

Like most of the reviews say stay away this place is terrible rude secretary maybe the owner needs to know she takes the phone off the hook so she can get her self together this is a place of business that is terrible that she does this been here before and had issues my fault I tried again and I don’t need nothing from owner saying to contact it’s best to stay away to many places around to go

Terrible service do not go to this location. Had windshield replaced and seal was bad. Tried to call in but it is impossible to talk to a human. Had to make an appointment online, nothing available for 10 days, got a chip before appointment now won't do anything to fix glass. Garbage customer service
