Perfect repair after several previous gunsmiths failed. Prices are good. The gun was back quicker than expected. I left another gun for repair and told all my buddies about Fred.

Absolutely the worst "shop" I have ever seen. Extremely disorganized. And the lack of professionalism is appalling. I have been building rifles for many years. Went to get a barrel removed from a particular rifle due to my equipment no longer being in my possession (just moved from a different state) I simply wanted them to remove the barrel. Easy process right? WRONG! The younger man. Whom was chomping on a sandwich right in front of me as I was speaking to him the whole time. Gives me a call the next day saying "uh. Yeah I can't get your barrel off" And accused me of not properly installing it right. It was a brand new barrel from a very reputable company. That I have done business with for about 5-6 years. After I told him where it came from, his whole demeanor changed. "Let me see what I can do" lo and behold I get a call 10 minutes later stating that he got it off. I went to go pick up the barrel and the receiver and he had a completely twisted the receiver due to the lack of a receiver vice. Still eating food in front of me I shrugged it off because the barrel was honestly my main concern. I repopulated the barrel and put it onto the new receiver. It was then I realized that the barrel itself was also bent! I have no idea how something like that is even possible! Brand new barrel destroyed brand new receiver destroyed. These guys are amateurs nothing more. If you value your life as well as your sanity please reconsider going through these guys for anything other than cosmetic attachments. Learning through an apprenticeship doesn't make you a gunsmith. These guys came from the automotive industry and are nothing more than hobbyists. Which is completely fine but when people pay you for a service they expect craftsmanship and pride in your work....

Called to have trijicon sights installed on my new Kimber. Talked to him twice, never called back. Too many gunsmiths around to play that game Will never know if he’s any good or not
