I love Michael’s but the port orange store is below avg at best . I’ve been twice both times employees really didn’t know where anything was.

Terrible experience online and pickup. Long story short, deceptive photographs used online, defective artificial tree required 2nd trip to store where a bag of 5 tubes (2 incorrect) of ornaments awaited. Fortunately checked and found error thus avoiding 3rd trip to store. Asked for compensation. Manager on duty advised call the 800 number. She could only refund or exchange. Talked to several people with 800-Michael and end result was a $5 gift card. So my troubles were worth $5. Hobby Lobby from now on.

Came in for a better fan and a specialty brush. They had coupons online and a QR code too. Store was smallish compared to other Michael's, but they have what I needed. Good variety of canvas sizes. Today was buy one, get one free. With my coupon, I got 30% off my big new specialty brush. Close to home in a nice shopping Plaza with Belk, 5 Below, Home Goods and more!

Staff was not very friendly or engaging. Store was well stocked but had a cramped feel to the layout. Ample parking located in busy shopping center.

Many years ago, I was bored and didn't really know why. A teacher friend of mine worked a 2nd job at Michaels and loved it!
I applied, got a 2nd job Michaels and found a hidden desire to explore my creativity. I started with drawing using charcoal and erasing, something I found I had a talent for. And from there through canvas, acrylic, oils, wax, one of a kind wreaths and so much more, I now have a thriving business that I thoroughly enjoy. Had I not been given the opportunity to work in that creative store, I'm not sure I'd have ever found the artist in me.

Hold a brand of spray with a wider variety of color than they hold. But if you ask for a certain color they’ll not get it for you even though the cans are $5 more than most other shops (but are an hrs drive away). Also Montana spray do a matte lacquer and they hold gloss same can but won’t order you the matte.

In Port Orange , Fl store. Although store is clean and nice , the employees that assisted me were deadpan and non communicative when I was checking out. As if I was bothering them for being there. So disappointing, because I like Michael’s store in other areas.

Today I went to return a gift I received that was purchased at this Michaels store in Port Orange Florida. The cashier told me they could not accept the product back because they are currently selling it on clearance. It was purchased at full price and they wouldn’t give me a single penny back for this product. She told me I was just going to have to keep the item. She said that’s just our store policy. It’s no wonder it’s never busy in the store anymore. Too much of the junk they sell in the store made In China And they don’t stand behind their products. I am not an advocate for Amazon but if you’re looking for something that you think you might find in Michael’s check Amazon first, it’s probably cheaper and better quality. Besides, if you need to return it, Amazon will take it back.
