I've read the other reviews and I guess I get some of the negative stuff, but I don't let it bother me. Despite being small and in a kinda small area, it's a very busy store. I'm usually in and out faster than it takes me to get TO home depot. Some of the guys are hit or miss. We all have off days. Some times I'm hounded for help, other times I gotta drag someone out to help me. It's well stocked. Large variety. It's open a lot. Prices are a bit premium, but that's expected when you're saving time by going local. It's a great shop. Relax.

I've lived in Port St John for 20 years. I try to support local business when I can. The vibe in this store is always negative. Today the man who rang me up didn't say 1 word to me.

Great staff always an hand willing to help out load bag of mulch, show you where things are, to help you brainstorm project. really thankful for the guys at true value. Plus, some of their sales are unbeatable.

As others have said, very high prices. I have been going there 4 years since I moved to PSJ. Always doing projects and in need of supplies. Every trip there is a new unknowledgeable employee. Last visit, a few minutes before closing, was immediately told how many minutes I had to get out. I have spent thousands of dollars in this place and will never go back. Will happily travel the extra 10 minutes to go to Home Depot. That being said, he does have a good inventory, if you want to spend the Xtra money.

Went here to purchase wire strippers and crimp connections along with eletrical tape. Very overpriced store. Even with inflation. As much as I like supporting local shops this place was insane. Next time I'm going to homedepot

The customer service is lacking some actual customer service, and the prices are astronomical. Recommend a trip to a bigger hardware store.

I went to the to the store here in Port St John just to pick up a few things. The guy behind the counter was very good very pleasant but then this woman comes out and she was so rude. I won’t be coming back because of her that’s not how you treat customers that come in the store if you don’t like being there and working, there’s other jobs around you don’t need to be around customer service like I said she was just extremely rude not helpful at all but the young man that took care of me. He was very polite, very good and very professional Hats off to you young man I would’ve given more stars but because of her I went down not happy at all with the type of service that she has there. She just had a chip on her shoulder.
