I cannot express my extreme gratitude for this business and the two ladies that have absolutely epitomized the definition of customer service! Ms Sabine and Ms Shay have truly been the glue that held together my very scattered but very important week. Budget car rental is truly blessed to have not one but two very Skilled Knowledgeable, Assertive and Compassionate Angels working for their company branch in Port St Lucie. Thank you ladies!!

I rent a car several times a year, for the past 10 years and this was the WORST rental experience EVER! I HIGHLY suggest that you go ANYWHERE ELSE! When my ride picked me up to take me to this rental office, he told me he had a bad experience almost 10 years ago and would never go back there. I should have listened. When I arrived at 8:03AM, the lobby was mostly empty & I expected a quick in & out transaction, as I’ve experienced many times with other rental companies. I reserved through a third party, after hours (like I always do) and when I arrived at the location, they didn’t have my reservation because they print their paperwork at night, around 6pm, before they close, & I made the reservation after they closed. Their website allows this, and gives no warnings about possible issues - SO WHY DO YOU NOT PRINT FRESH PAPERWORK IN THE MORNING?! Then, they didn’t allow me to use the digital card that I made the reservation with for the deposit, because they HAVE to swipe a physical card (DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY TIMES I HAVE RENTED A CAR WITHOUT A PHYSICAL CARD?!) Then, I couldn’t use my debit card unless I gave them a utility bill, but the utility bills are in my MAIDEN NAME )or my husbands name) WHICH DOESNT MATCH THE RESERVATION! So I transfer $200 to my credit card and give her the credit card, BUT I HAVE MY OLD CARD AND IT IS STILL IN MY MAIDEN NAME EVEN THOUGH THE BANK ACCOUNT IS IN MY MARRIED NAME. So I had to go home and get my marriage license to prove that I was once (maiden name) and I am now (married name). Here’s where it gets WORSE. The woman asked me where I was traveling to before even processing my payment, I explained I was going 2 HOURS AWAY, for an important medical appointment for one of my children, and planned to return the car before they closed. I reserved a Kia Soul or Similar, but I was given an EV Chevy Bolt. I DRIVE A GAS POWERED MINI VAN & I only rented because I wasn’t able to get my brakes changed in time - I know NOTHING about EV vehicles. I asked her how to charge it & she showed me, then I asked her WHERE TO CHARGE IT and how much it would cost! She told me “Oh, it’s free! Just Google it, it’s easy to find.” THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FULLY CHARGED! My daughter & I made it to the appointment (2 HOURS AWAY) with 5 MILES LEFT ON THE BATTERY! The DOCTORS OFFICE tried to help me find a charging station but couldn’t find one within the distance i had left. I found an normal exterior plug at a PUBLIX and their employee took pity on me and helped me charge the vehicle there with a normal 1V plug (comes with the car) - WHICH LITERALLY TAKES DAYS TO FULLY CHARGE (the car tells you this when you plug it in)! I got it charged enough to find a free charging station, outside of a robotics company, where the employees, once again, took pity on me as I stood crying and freaking out in the parking lot because I was on a tight schedule, all the stations were filled & had no idea how I was going to charge the rental enough to make it home to drop this vehicle off and get my other kids from daycare on time. The robotics employees escorted me inside and offered me & my daughter a cool place to wait, out of the heat & humidity, while the vehicle charged - but their chargers are free, and therefore, slow, and would not charge the car fast enough for me to make it home safely, and timely. So THE ROBOTICS employees helped me find a gas station with fast charge. Fast charge cost $30 (which was fine) but takes 3 hours to fully charge. So my daughter and I had to find something to do, in an unfamiliar area, for 3 hours, just so we could make it home. No restaurants or shopping stores near where we charged. It is 5:01 and I will not make it back to drop the vehicle in time. Which means they will charge me for an additional day, AND I had to ask a family member who lives almost an hour away to pick up my kids from daycare! I WILL NEVER RENT FROM HERE EVER AGAIN! I MAY NEVER RENT FROM BUDGET AGAIN!

Never treated so badly at a rental place before. This budget location is so bad. Had plans with family and now I can’t attend due to this mess. I was told I didn’t have a reservation by Sabine and while I tried to speak to her, she completely ignored me and wouldn’t help. But the fact is I did have a reservation and they had even charged my card! She preferred to move one of the rental cars to the back than to help me. When she returned she said I wasn’t on the list and that they were closing. And that her computer was off and there was nothing she can do. When I called customer service, they offered me to go to Vero Beach, which would be another hour to drive there and come back. So not worth the trouble. So I am just waiting for my refund. Will not use this place at all.

They had no small cars. Nice gut at desk, but over 500.00 for 2 days ridiculous. Only medium vehicles.

I rented the car in Port St. Lucie for a trip to Fort Lauderdale. Although the wait time was considerable, I'm giving the car rental 3 stars because the gas tank was not full when I received the car. When I pointed that out to the rental place, they advised me that as long as I return the car with the same level of gas as I had received it, I would not be charged for fuel.In fact, I was charged for fuel. Luckily, I had saved the receipt for when I filled up the tank, however, I do not appreciate the carelessness with which the process was handled.Otherwise, the car itself was excellent and I had no issues with that.

During pickup they wanted we to take a truck that was missing the right side mirror. They had not noticed it was missing. During delivery I sat for 30 minutes waiting while the clerk was playing loud music from his phone as he is supposed to be a music producer. He was promoting his music to other customers. Horrible experience. Will never go back.

The reps are always nice and helpful. Everyone comes to this Avis/ BudgetSo it can get busy.All in all I have used their services 7 times and have been happy with their pricing as well as their vehicle selection.

IF I COYLD GIVE THIS ZERO STARS I DEFINITELY WOULD! I reserved a full size car and when I got to the location none was there and I was told I would be charged extra for an upgrade even though online it stated that my car was reserved. I received the car on empty, no windshield fluid, dirty and it wreaked of pot. I voiced my concern to Sabine. She stated that there were no other vehicles available. When I went to return the car I was told that I would be charged a cleaning fee for chocolate and other things that they had to clean out (I received the car dirty and I made that clear to everyone! I started to show her pics that I had taken on the day I picked up the car and she became furious. She then stated that I should not have taken the car in that condit . I persistent . New Based on my experience not paying the cleaning fee and shs.. that I needed to leave before she called the police. She also said that she would not be helping me and that I needed to call budget customer service. I went to my car with my baby and later realized that I didn’t have my rental agreement. I went back inside and requested it politely. She took up the trash can and threw it down beside my foot and told me I needed to look for it myself( mind you people’s personal information are all over these papers). When she realized that I was recording her and the severity of what she had done, she left and went to the back. From my observation Sabine is racist towards black/ colored women in my opinion. She is very friendly to caucasians and men. Based on my experience. As a manager this is unacceptable. How does this even happen? How are they trained here? Thank you to the young man that helped me to ring my rental agreement. He should be the one training Sabine. Very disgusted with Budget and this location!

I wish I can give this location a zero however, that’s not an option between reservations in the front desk clerk, it was the worst experience I ever had in my life whatever you do don’t go to that location I don’t know why they’re booked all the time go to the airport go anywhere except there the people have a attitude and made it seem like I was delusional. It does no good to call and complain because I did that with a supervisor at reservations and everybody made it seem as if I was the person that made the mistake who goes to a rental car company while speaking to the reservation agent on the phone and says hey I’m here to check out. My car does booked for tomorrow. It makes no sense.

Just picked up my rental today, and the experience was amazing, all thanks to Sabine. She's a Rockstar.I reserved my car more than a week ahead of time, and knowing from experiences elsewhere that a reservation doesn't guarantee the car, I decided I'd call and speak to someone to express how critical it was for my vacation plans that I have the car size I needed (large suv).Sabine was very kind in explaining to me the process and that for specialty sizes like my reservation, she is very careful to ensure she holds on to the car, even if that means holding on to it for most of the day, just to ensure my reservation was honored.Going to the location today and seeing the amount of traffic gave me even more reason to be as pleased as I was, because you can tell Sabine runs a well-oiled machine over there. Efficient, respectful, to the point. I was in and out in 30 minutes, even though there were others there as well, and even though I had to call my insurance.Very pleased with my experience. Thank you Sabine!

My experience at this Budget has been nothing short of great! I have rented 3 cars from them in the past month. There was 1 occasion that the car I thought I was renting was not on the lot. Ok no big deal. So I was given a Mustang. In less than 10 minutes, I realized this was not the car for me. I have a back injury and my knees are bad...the car is too low. Sabine told me it was no problem so they put my in a Santa Fe that was perfect. Sabine is the person I have interacted with the most. She has been kind, professional, walked around the car with me, showed me a couple features I was not familiar with.In a few of the reviews I read that racism was brought into the transaction. I myself have not witnessed this and I am an over 55 Caucasian woman. Right there I check off all the boxes of people who would experience unfairness. Sabine is the kind of person I would invite to my home for Sunday dinner. That's how comfortable I am with using this Budget on US 1 PSL. If you need to rent a car don't be discouraged by the other negative feedback. Their experience was 1 experience...I have 3 rentals in 6 weeks time. My testimony outweighs all the negative. Ask for Sabine...she's your GIRL!!!!
