“Overall, a solid experience. I booked a mid-size SUV but had to wait for a vehicle to be ready. Ended up with a Chevrolet Equinox that drove well and was bug-free, but it wasn’t fully cleaned—leftover items like peanuts, books, and even a knife were still inside. I sanitized it myself and returned the items the next day.
Staff were courteous throughout, especially Pete at pick-up. Drop-off was smooth, and the rep appreciated my feedback about the detailing issues. Hertz was professional and respectful, but they could improve vehicle prep and attention to detail.
Would rent again, just hoping for a cleaner start next time.”
