We just had the BEST move ever with DeVries. They were on time, very professional, stuck to their rate quote, and worked so quickly. They were the best team of three men who seemed to enjoy working with each other and were so coordinated; other companies should take lessons from them in teamwork. They carefully and precisely covered every piece of my furniture with heavy furniture wraps and tape, and did not damage or scratch a single thing from my 2/2 condo to my new home. They went the extra mile to make sure I was happy with all of the furniture placement they delivered. They even tried to repair a table leg that had been weak before the move. Even though we ordered lunch for them (chicken sandwiches, sides and lemonade), they did not stop for one second to eat, and instead asked that it be put in the refrigerator until they were done and ready to leave. I was very happy to microwave their sandwiches before they took off (plus give them a nice gratuity each). It was a long day and their spirits were great throughout. Made it so much more stress free for me. I highly recommend DeVries Moving.

Eric was great at setting up what was the beginning of a rough move. However, when the movers came, my 80 year old mother started to relax. The move was smooth from the beginning to the end. Everyone was great and Mom was finally moved into her new place. Best moving company I have ever experienced.

My wife and I just moved and are extremely happy with the professionalism and hard work of the crew. From start to finish everything was perfect, which is exactly what we expected and why it’s always best to choose a local, family owned business! Eric even offered us some free boxes and we didn’t even have to pick them up! They were nice enough to drop them off- which we really appreciated. 5 stars!!

Best moving experience I have ever had!! Estimate was accurate. Service was great. The 2-man crew I was assigned did an amazing job. Everything was done on time and nothing was damaged. Everyone in the company was very pleasant to deal with. I give them my highest recommendation!!

DeVries Moving did an excellent job moving our family on September 10. I found them on Angie’s list. The response was immediate to my request. The crew was on time, provided boxes in advance, and handled everything with care. The move was local within 30 miles, @5 men, boxes were delivered a week before, a small deposit was required, and communication was superb. All of our belongings were delivered and unpacked perfectly—highly recommend Eric Devries and his moving company!

Over time, my wife and I have used DeVries for the last 3 moves we've made, most recently almost 2 weeks ago, and all I can say is that they are without question the BEST moving and storage company you could ever select. Their quotes are accurate and reasonable, and the office staff is professional, helpful and kind. The movers themselves go way above and beyond to problem-solve and get you where you need to go with a minimum of the chaos that normally accompanies a move, whether local or further away. To us, DeVries is the G.O.A.T.!

DeVries Moving and Storage saved the day! While making an office move, I completely forgot to book a moving company. In less than a week’s notice, not only did they get the job done, but the three movers were incredibly professional, careful, attentive to detail and so friendly! I was laughing with them all day while they took great care of our office furniture and incredibly heavy boxes. Moving is never fun, but they made it enjoyable. Huge thank you to Eric and the team!

I signed with Devries Moving because Eric Devries promised me that everything would be disconnected and reconnected upon my move. I am disabled and can’t do many things. I agreed to his estimate and services in the amount of $4043. By the end of the move everything I was promised didn’t happen and got charged an extra $1888 for a total.
February 5, 2025 the packers show up at 8:45am. However, they had a tire issue and wanted to know and see if I had certain items they could use to help them. I unpacked 5 boxes from my garage, nothing worked. I had to put them back together and tape them back up. I don’t know why they didn’t just go back to the shop because it was only 2-5 minutes away. Well they didn’t start to load up the truck until 9:30am. They didn’t have the boxes I paid for to put my mattress in. They said the packers should have left them but they would call for someone to drop them off. Well then they decided to shrink wrap them. But they only wanted to shrink wrap have of the mattress. I didn’t want my mattress exposed to a dirty truck so they did half ass job on the entire mattress and with areas exposed and said they would put it in a carton when they got back. Early on one of the movers said I need to disconnect the hoses to my washer and dryer. I told them Eric said everything would be disconnected and reconnected. He said you’re the third customer who has stated that. He said he called Eric and he claims he didn’t state that. Why would I have not have my tools packed? At the end of the day one of the other movers shut off the water valve to the washer and dryer. Come to find out he snapped the valve. Then the other guy didn’t want to disconnect. Well, I would have shut off the valve if that was the issue. I had to shut the water off to the house because I had a flood. The movers left at 2:00pm but I had to get a plumber, clean up water and waste 2-3 hours, pay $125 for a new valve before I could head out.
On February 6, 2025 they were supposed to deliver my truck. At 11:30 I got a call saying the guys were delayed due to a tire issue. (Again wondering why this wasn’t taken care of the day before) I told them no problem because my closing got delayed until this afternoon. I called them at approximately 1:00pm before they had to travel the 2 hours and 15 minutes distance and told them the closing got delayed again.
On February 7, 2025 i spoke to them in the morning and wanted to confirm the closing was still on schedule before they headed out again. I confirmed that at 10:00am and they arrived at 1:30pm. I noticed when they were unpacking the truck my mattress was never put in cartons and the base platform was not wrapped or put in a carton, it was completely filthy. They spent the time to put furniture pad on my desk however, after it was set up they put dirty boxes on top of the desk that scratched the entire veneer. They unloaded the truck by 5:30pm.
I called several times to speak with Eric. I did speak to him once and voiced my complaints: damage to my desk, damage to chest, the filthy base to my mattress, things missing ( still missing my remotes to the adjustable bed and file hangers) , floral arrangements they packed completely destroyed, my adjustable bed not put back together, washing machine not hooked and my grill and smoker damaged. My initial job was $4043, I ended up paying $5931.75 . The things the movers packed all got damaged. Who packs lamps with flowers arrangements? All of my arrangements had to get thrown out because they were destroyed. That not including the Plummer I had to pay for and service I didn’t get. He said he would give $200 to fix my desk and call me back about the extra expenses. He never returned my calls. I have photos of all the damages. The damage to my veneer desk is worth more than the $200 alone. He never deducted anything from them not packing my china hutch ( thank God I packed it otherwise it would be broken) mattress cartons or any other damage.

Top moving company!!! Eric was great in communications and every detail from first conversation until everything was safely delivered. Smooth pickup and early delivery for our long distance move. Highly recommend.
