WARNING!!! RUDE EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
I rarely write reviews, but this experience truly warranted one. I was shopping for a Secret Santa gift and browsing the craft aisle for a notebook. The area was extremely disorganized, every time I tried to pick up a notebook, others would fall due to how poorly the items were arranged.
I work in customer service myself, so I understand and respect the time and effort it takes to organize a store and maintain a welcoming environment. That said, the condition of this aisle made it frustrating to shop.
To make matters worse, a staff member made a condescending remark, saying, “Oh, you can just DESTROY it after I take a picture,” and spoke to me in a dismissive tone. This was unnecessary and disrespectful. Customers should feel comfortable and respected while shopping, not talked down to.
Providing a clean, organized space and courteous customer service is the responsibility of the staff. Unfortunately, this interaction left a very negative impression, and I will NEVER be returning.

The store doesn’t open at 9am don’t let the google hours fool you. I definitely stood there at 9am and all the employees looked at me on the inside and don’t open the door at 9.. and when they decided to I had to wait for them to set up the store and roll out their displays. Sadly this is the closest one to my house so if I were one of you show up around 9:15 they should be good to go.

I had a very disappointing experience at this Five Below location. While I was shopping, I noticed an older employee who looked tired, but she was clearly doing her best. A younger employee suddenly called out to her in a very rude tone, saying, “Just leave the cart and follow me.” It was abrupt and completely unnecessary.
When she got to the front, two young employees, probably teens, decided she should handle the returns. They asked her if she was good at it, and she replied politely that it was just putting things back. Instead of responding respectfully, the two young employees laughed at her.
As someone who lives in this town and is only in my twenties, seeing teenagers talk to an older coworker that way was shocking. I would never treat someone older like that, let alone assign them the most physically demanding task while the younger employees just stood at the front.
This experience gave me a very negative impression of the store’s professionalism. Five Below needs to address how their staff treat one another, especially their older employees who deserve respect and basic decency.

The 2 young ladies who helped me at the St Lucie West store we awesome! They helped me look for what I wanted, but the store was out of stock on the item. They suggested that I check the Tradition store and that store had plenty. Thank you ladies!

I always love coming in. I always get greeted which I appreciate the consistency and can always find a nice 100% cotton shirt when I need one in my size and get a Ramune soda with a little sweet snack. The store is usually clean and items are usually located in their spots. If you’re trying to ball on a budget, this may be the place to go!
