Don't go in anytime near closing time or you'll be rudely told they are closing in ten minutes when closing is in twenty minutes. We promptly left. We got the hint.

Small, organized, well-stocked and clean store. The volunteers are very nice. You find all kinds of cute things. They take donations at the window right away.

I was here shopping yesterday and I witnessed a miserable lady by the name of Pam treating a disabled volunteer poorly. It was a young girl and I could tell she really enjoyed being a part of this organization. It’s so sad. The volunteer called her dad who has also volunteered here previously and she left to never return and be treated like that. Due to the treatment the dad will not deal with them either anymore. Good for them! I am so upset at the way these people volunteering their time were talked to and treated. First of all, you don’t do that to someone volunteering their time. Secondly, and especially someone with a disability! I would think twice about dealing with an organization that treats people like that and it’s tolerated!!!

One of my favorite hobbies is exploring thrift stores. I discovered this one when I was in Port St. Lucie. I especially love finding a thrift store that supports animal rescue. The proceeds from this store provide food, medical care, spray/ neuter, and housing for animals awaiting adoption in St. Lucie County. The Humane Society of St. Lucie County Thrift Store has several rooms of men's, women's, and children's clothing, games, housewares, home decor, glassware, electronics, furniture, books, pet supplies, jewelry, and holiday decorations. They are currently holding a Christmas in July sale where everything Christmas related is half off.Everything in the store was arranged nicely and priced clearly. The store is staffed with volunteers and depends on donations. If you live in the area consider supporting them with your gently used items and shop to help animals and the planet by keeping items out of the landfill.
