I won't be back. The last time, the manager told someone who came in after me that all clothes were 1$. When I brought my six 1.50$ tee shirts to the counter, she proceeded to remove the three best shirts, and told me they were 5$ each. I left them there. I tried to visit again last week, after their remodel. Every single rack said clothes were 8$ and boutique. As I tried to wander the store, empty handed, the manager kept charging at me with an empty cart . Asking if I was ready yet. I didn't even have anything in my hands. I will not even try to go back. The prices are too high, and I feel like the manager judges how much to charge based on how the customer is dressed and how expensive their bag is. This place fills their dumpster with half their donations as is. The volunteers seemed to be complaining about the new policies as well.

This thrift store is operated by the Mustard Seed Ministries which was founded in 1986 by a group of local churches that got together to pool their resources. Their name comes from the bible verse Matthew 17:20, Jesus said, "Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
The Mustard Seed Ministries mission is "to coordinate the energies of the Christian churches of St. Lucie County to meet the spiritual and material needs of the whole person and to make referrals to all available relief agencies in our community to take care of those in need". According to their website their "services include assistance with food insecurities, past due utilities, rent/mortgage payments, furniture, transportation/travel, emergency shelter, prescriptions, medical equipment, clothing, gasoline, medical care vouchers and many case-by-case interventions. As part of our food program, we implement a summer food program for school children who receive free/reduced meals during the school year; operate a Community Bucket Garden and an annual Community Thanksgiving Feast."
For more than 3o years the Mustard Seed Ministries has been using a grass roots model to meet the needs of the community holistically. They are supported by hundreds of volunteers and community members who administer 17 programs and services available to individuals and families in St. Lucie County. They also operate a food pantry at their thrift store and provide medical education. Proceeds from this thrift store and the one in Ft. Pierce raise funds for their programs.
The thrift store receives donations from businesses and the local community. They sell art, small appliances, clothes, furniture, accessories, and household goods. They sell a varied selection of items and prices are inexpensive. Strangest item found here this trip, a very serious portrait of Fred J Ball. Who was Fred and how did he end up here? I have so many questions but he is keeping watch on the store. So many cool treasures here. You can donate and shop in confidence knowing you are supporting one of the worthiest charities in St. Lucie County.

Today I stopped by , a woman was talking to one of the men that worked there. ( I was sitting not far away trying on a pair of shoes I heard everything that was said). The customer ask the man about a particular item and he said "oh I'll never sell it to you" now she said "I'm trying to find out about it "and all he kept saying was "you're not going to buy it I'll never sell it to you". I thought they knew each other. She then asked him what his name was he refused to tell her. She went to the woman at the register and that woman said" oh he's like that that's just the way he is he didn't mean any harm". Well what I heard wasnt that the case. He had an attitude toward that woman that should not have been ignored .

I shop at this store once and a while. I went in there today and they got expensive. Alot of their prices have tripled. I don’t like supporting Goodwill (For Profit) even though they became expensive too, their prices are 3 times less on some of the items I saw in Mustard Seed today.

Always find great items at a good price. This organization offers help to people in need. They have a food pantry. Provide clothes for people for job interviews, and more.

Was ripped off today. Overcharged. Not a charity. Mustard thieves. Never again. Rude hateful woman behind the counter who tried to charge 20$ for a stuffed animal that was a cheapo Walmart stuffed animal. For my father with Cancer. The worst thrift store. Smells. No deals. Go online and buy it for less. Reporting them to BBB
