Wells Fargo Bank provides good service for normal banking needs, with staff that is happy to help, patient, and polite. The bank watches over accounts very carefully. Many customers report great service and professional staff who make them feel comfortable, answer all questions, and turn mundane experiences into pleasant ones. However, there are significant frustrations with handling fraud. Customers report repeated incidents of credit card fraud, specifically with cards tied to checking accounts. A major point of outrage is that the bank will overnight a replacement credit card but refuses to overnight a replacement debit or Visa card tied to the account, a policy that seems ridiculous and inconsistent to those affected. This problem with fraud and replacement cards has happened repeatedly to some long-term customers.
