Be mindful and perhaps take a photo of you dropping the keys off at the return drop off box. They charged me an extra day even though I return the car 30 mins before my time. It appears the attendants don't check it often enough or are too busy to check. Also the refuel option- only use this option if you know you will be leaving the vehicle completely empty. If you only need 3 gallons of fuel you will be charged a full tank. Oh and I'm an Avis preferred member.

I will never rent with Avis or its sister companies again. Last several rentals, they’ve tried to up charge me for fuel when returned full. Make sure you check your receipt and card after return. Thank goodness I take pics of dash on pickup and return.

Service was great. Counter assistant was very pleasant and informative. Return assistant was right there and got us on our way in a few minutes. Great service!

Very easy and efficient process to get me into my rental and in my way. Vehicle was perfect for my needs and clean. Would definitely use Avis again for future travel needs.

Quoted price was 100.00 less than final rental price. I have been an avis renter for over 35 years and wont be coming back. The add on charges of taxes are crazy. 400 for a weekly rental of basic car for a long term member for weekly rental of chevy malibu is just crazy.

I will not give a review until I have spoken to someone from Avis about my rental experience and how they handle the situations that we were presented with during our time renting our vehicle. I don't think you would like to hear what I say if it isn't handled correctly. Thank you. Avis has always been good to us during our past rental times. Hopefully this matter will be resolved. I would have normally given Avis 5 stars as they have always been good to us.

Rental in Punta Gorda was very successful and easy to accomplish. But had to go to Punta Gorda because the Port Charlotte location refused to process my rental even though I was there two minutes after the reservation time (she actually closed the system down before 12:00 and had the doors locked even knowing we had a rental at noon). The lady was very rude and didn't care at all refused to help even after explaining the situation and that we had to have the vehicle to meet our flight timeline. DON'T RENT FRON THE PORT CHARLOTTE, FL AVIS!!

Customer service was great attendant stayed very late so I would have my car due to a delayed flight. I only did not give a five because the car smelled of smoke and the windows were so dirty I could barely see out of them. Dangerous for late night driving. If it wasn’t 1:00am when I picked it up I would have asked for a different car but I was just so grateful the attendant stayed late for me.

First off AVIS was way cheaper than the other car rental companies. The service was very fast and hassle free! Great vehicles and easy pickup and drop off location as some airport locations can be a challenge. I will continue using AVIS over the others.

When we received our rental it was not full of fuel. I had to go back into the service desk and get that adjusted. I also had to make them aware the the back bumper of the vehicle was scratched and dented so I would not be change. We took this vehicle from Punta Gorda to Siesta Key, then to Disney and back to St Pete. So a rather long trip with our family. What I realized after unloading the vehicle I’m Siesta Key was there was no spare tire to this vehicle in the trunk. While this might be policy not to have one I was a little worried I might be standard with my in the event of a flat tire. We also dealt with an annoying rattle coming from somewhere in the front driver side of the car. The last issues was some apparent stain on the back seat cushions. Once we got out of the car both of my children had rust like stains on there shorts from the back seat.

The SUV was reliable and what we expected. The staff was friendly but the car provided was dirty inside and out. There was even trash left from the last user. The gas tank was nearly empty which was annoying. We don't want to make the first stop of vaca to be trying to find gas and filling it up.

Good experience. A little confusion at first, as incorrect vehicle keys were given to us, but the issue was easily rectified, and happy with their customer service. We will use Avis again!!! Thank you.

We were on the plane leaving Punta Gorda when we realized we left our cell phone in the rental car. Top notch Avis employee Matt Travis called me as soon as our flight landed in Rockford IL to let me know he had the phone!!! Matt sent me an email with directions to send him a prepaid shipping label. Once he receives the label he will send the phone back. Thank you Matt Travis from the Avis car rental department at the Punta Gorda airport!

This was the best car rental experience I have ever had. The check in process to getting the keys to my car took about five minutes. The car was quality. And when I checked in the car to return it it was even less time to do so. Excellent service.
