They use customers funds for profit before checks are presented. When a customer directs Chase to pay a bill through their bill pay service and they mail a check or electronically transfer funds, Chase debits money from customers accounts immediately and not when the check is presented for payment. During this period of several days to several weeks Chase bank is using that money for profit. Meanwhile, if a customer deposits a check in their account the funds are not immediately available.

Drive-up ATM almost NEVER works.
Lobby ATM rarely works.
Thankfully they have tellers available, who are nice and competent, but the ATMs at this branch are some sort of practical joke.

We have been fighting with our insurance company for a year and a half now dealing with Hurricane Ian damages and finally finished up that process last month. We deposited our check from the insurance company yesterday and started getting all kinds of alerts about a problem with our deposit. Went into the Punta Gorda branch location today and was told our check was denied because the public adjuster was listed on the check. The check was endorsed by the public adjuster and both my wife and myself and is still being denied. They are now saying that the check (FULLY ENDORSED) will be sent back to us to be sent back to the Public Adjuster so that they can cash it and then the public adjuster can send us a check without their name on it.According to JP Morgan Chase corporate, this is a branch policy and not corporate. The branch lies and says it corporate. Regardless, between not being able to cash savings bonds and now checks (not to mention political activism against people they disagree with) I will be closing our 25 year old account and taking our money elsewhere.

I need to get my last name on my account and rush to get to the bank before the closed. I am a busy mom and don't get much free time. I arrived there 10 minutes before they closed and the teller refused to help me saying they close soon and the banker left

Staff is great. Very attentive. Outside ATM has issues 90% of the time but the lobby ATM is available 24/7 if needed.

Friendly smart staff that gets you in and out without a big hassle. Bonus is they are open until 5 unlike BOA that locks their door at 3:57.

One star is too much to give them, they screw up everything they touch from credit cards to debit cards. I so love waiting on hold only to talk to someone at home in India. Customer service is an oxymoron with Chase. I'm closing all my accounts today. The branch is fine but the majority of serious banking is done off site, that is the problem

I was the Representative Payee on an account for my disabled step-daughter who passed away in 2019. In order to close the account, I needed to bring in an original, stamped death certificate [the only kind I ordered]. I was advised to leave the account open for awhile; the bank made a copy of the death certificate. After a couple years, I called Chase corporate to cancel the account. I was advised they had a copy of her death certificate on file, and the most efficient way to close the account was to go to the local branch and show them my photo id. I did so. The next day I received a call, they needed me to bring a copy of the death certificate because when they downloaded it, they didn't mark it as an original. I drove back to the bank, brought the death certificate and my id, asked them to make sure to document that it was an original. The next evening, I reviewed MY account online and discovered it had been closed [my account, not my step-daughter's]! I called Chase corporate and was given a direct number to call the next morning-New Year's Eve! Apparently, the branch listed ME as dead, not my step-daughter! I called that number and was informed it would be best to go back to the branch because it would take several business days to rectify if I didn't. I went back to the bank, and talked to the manager. He said, unfortunately, he couldn't contact the department directly, he didn't have access to their number. I told him I did, gave it to him, and he got through. After 45 minutes, my account was re-opened, but, my debit card was cancelled. I was told by the bank manager he would put a rush on the new card and I should receive it the following Monday or Tuesday at the latest. Today, I looked at my account, I was charged a fee to replace my card!!! I called and got the fee reversed [still waiting on the card]. I can't imagine how any of this happened. Surely, being a Representative Payee on an account is not a rarity. This has been a nightmare!
