Maria’s Garden is an absolute gem! The cozy atmosphere makes you feel welcome the moment you step in.The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely happy to help, whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just getting started. Bessie was very welcoming. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the plants and service. Highly recommended for anyone looking to brighten their space with some greenery!

This nursery is really quaint and nice. It offers a diverse array of plumarias, desert roses, cyclids and cacti and is designed very creatively. We like supporting plant shops like this.

What a beautiful place! So many unbelievable desert roses. Maria showed me around and helped choose the best dessert rose for me. I absolutely love this place and the way I was treated!! I am sorry but I do not remember Maria’s business partner but she was incredibly helpful as well. Thank u!! I will be back!!

I must say, this nursery is truly exceptional! The selection of desert rose and cacti is impressive. Maria and Bessie clearly care deeply about their plants, and it shows. Their customer service is friendly, and the quality of their soil is outstanding. I highly recommend purchasing soil from them - it's truly the best! The well-draining soil is perfect for the plants, and their perlite is top-notch as well. Overall, I give this nursery a perfect 10 out of 10! Thank you, Maria and Bessie, for all your assistance with my desert rose. Your expertise is greatly appreciated! This is my desert rose using Maria’s and Bessie soil! 💯

I come to FL every winter for a week to visit family and my favorite thing to do is go to Maria’s Garden! She has beautiful plants and has so much knowledge! I absolutely love it!

What a wonderful day at Maria’s Garden! I met Maria and Bessie who shared so much knowledge about caring for a desert rose. I found a beauty and they walked me step by step how to manage the care they already took to prepare it for me. Also how to help it build a big beautiful caudex in near future. Left very happy and spent what I thought I was comfortable spending. There are hundreds of sizes and varieties of colors. I drove 50 minutes each was and it was well worth it. I’ll be back ladies!!

If there was 10 stars I'd give more. I am a huge plant person, I love my plants. The reason I love Maria is because she is ALSO a plant lover and she cares so much about her babies! Everything she grows is 100% grown with love and the best of the best! She puts so much back breaking time and effort into everything she does. She deserves more than five stars! I don't understand the negative reviews. Maybe you had a bad experience, but she truly cares for her plants. She also has an extensive YouTube channel with a TON of advice and knowledge! I pray she recovers from the latest robbery.. STOP stealing her plants! She works so hard for these!
Again, I LOVE this place. She always helps me if I have questions & she is full of knowledge and experience. She reuses everything and she doesn’t waste stuff. I love that too! Thanks Maria!

My wife is a tremendous gardener and plant lover , and follows Maria on YouTube. Today we were driving back home from visiting southern Florida and decided to veer off to Punta Gorda.
Our visit to Maria & Bessie’s Garden was awesome. My wife purchased a desert rose and got expert advice on planting and care. Even though Maria was super-busy, she found time to chat and take pictures with one of her fans. Bessie also was sweet and sociable. What a GREAT experience we had. Gracias ladies!

just got back from Maria's Garden in Punta Gorda and I was overjoyed with how many wonderful desert rose plants she has in tons of sizes so you can find something for all cash levels. She has so many types. even though it's winter and no leaves or flowers yet, everything is healthy and you can see buds popping out. I got a wonderf education on how to care for my plant and left with my prize being healthy and safe for my 50 minute journey home. worth the trip!! Both Maria and Bessie wonderful to work with.

We found out about Maria’s Garden after a local news story covered a recent burglary at her establishment. We had also been looking for a place that had a wide array of cacti and it was if the news story was a sign that we needed to check this place out and we are sure glad we did.
Maria and Bessie have an immense collection of cacti, succulents, desert rose plants, and many other options you’d typically never see at a big box store like Home Depot. The prices are very reasonable as well.
While we definitely found what we were after, our experience here was topped off with Maria giving an awesome and informative instruction around taking care of one of the succulents we bought. She was so hands-on and was very committed to incorporating our young daughter into her instruction. You seldom come across someone who has as much passion and knowledge about their craft and their business like we did with Maria.
We really appreciated our time with Maria and Bessie and will definitely be back!
