! PLEASE READ ALL ! I never leave reviews, but I have to for this. Get called to ticket counter at the gate. Gate agent told me I've been assigned a new seat. Their reason: mother separated from baby who has a disability, and needs to sit together. Turned out it's a high schooler, not a baby. PLEASEEE, do not get me wrong, If I was flying by myself I would IMMEDIATELY, switch seats. I have been flying for countless years. But I could not due to my partner of many years who has a SEVERE anxiety to flying and has very serious documented disabilities related to this. (She was literally clutching me during every bump/noise while in the air). I politely declined because I knew she would be incredibly anxious if I was not with her. The supervisor was called because it's now their responsibility. The supervisor asks me if I paid for the seats next to each other, which I for sure did because I bought mine and my partners under the same reservation. Which somehow they didn't know. After some rearranging on their part , and a single flyer switching seats, she was able to accommodate us together and the other mother and child. After the settlement, as we were literally about to walk away from the gate desk, the supervisor said this quote "Next time, it's about kindness, because this involves a mother and a child with a disability, you are not including that in your judgment. And if we had to take your seats without other arrangements then that's final." Listen lady, you just made the arrangements for all parties to be happy, and also the situation never was stern or came down to them having not to switch people around. The fact she had the audacity to say that in front of myself and my partner, (who again has DOCUMENTED disabilities that we offered to show them), after the situation was politely handled on our side, shows clear disrespect to those with disabilities and is considered discriminatory to my party. My partner overhearing these comments from the supervisor, added to her anxiety and discomfort on the plane, and was IN TEARS when we sat back down at the gate and on the plane. It's so out of pocket to see how someone can be so inconsiderate of others when the situation was literally already taken care of. Will never fly Allegiant again.

Security is arrogant. Planes board outside which is fine unless summer when it storms daily. Don’t take an afternoon flight in the summer you’ll most definitely be delayed. Car rental place is super slow no fast track for rewards like emerald aisle. If the price isn’t much different I highly suggest RSW. RSW is better in every way.

One of the best hubs I've been in. Everything went to gather like a puzzle. TSA was smooth, uneventful and friendly. Check in was uneventful and everyone was nice helpful. The flight, quick and friendly. Snacks and beverages were nice along with the staff. Landed in Lexington Ky ahead of schedule. Departed the plane with friendly smiles and thank you for flying with us. A very very nice experience with Allegiant Airlines. I will definitely be using Allegiant again.

All the staff around the airport were friendly. They smiled, said thank you, have a great flight, etc. I have not experienced this at any other airport. Traveling is stressful for everyone and friendly employees make a huge difference in a good trip or a bad trip. Getting through security was quick. It is a very small airport with limited food options. I definitely will use this airport again.

We love this airport. We fly out of PGD often. Security used to be very strict. But I noticed that they have relaxed a bit after going to a 3rd party security firm. Parking was very full at Thanksgiving, but only a 10 minute walk and a shuttle was available. We were able to deplane through the back stairs last week, which was a treat!

Great little airport! So easy to get around. Parking has changed. The cell lot is straight in now. You go into Viking road and stay to the left. The first hour is free and a $1.00 extra for every hour afterwards with a maximum charge of $2.00. you can leave your passengers off at the departure gate and you can pick up your guests at the arrival gate within the cell lot.

flying out on a Monday, not busy at all but Dear Lord, the staff was miserable. from the man that checked our bag, to the very snippy lady at TSA to the folks at security. I have TSA pre-check and I do have a mechanical hip which I knew I had to go through the scanner. The women working the conveyor belt was very agitated and even more so when I just stepped over to the screening line. not necessary to be that nasty. Then the scanning lady was training a new employee and I paid the price to the extent of having to remove my boots as well as my pants (in private scanning room) because i had a elastic knee brace on. They padded me down, wiped my knee brace and then had to have the security lady have to test her gloves after touching me. why? I set off no alarms, I cooperated, this lady was over the top! I'm a 67 year old professional women and never have I seen the abrupt rudeness your employees displayed. it's time for a review of the employees that are the face of this airport!

Came here for a PPL check ride. Pretty inexperienced in a Delta but the guys in the tower here are awesome!

Always easy to fly in and out of, Punta Gorda Airport is becoming noticeably busier in recent years. Curbside drop off and pick up is easier here than most airports and ground level parking across from the terminal is thankfully very affordable so parking for pick up and drop off is also reasonable.Baggage return has sped up during recent flights and flights were spaced out well enough the claim area did not get too crowded.Car rental is right outside the terminal and easy to find, no shuttles or consolidated centers off-site, which is great. With what appears to be rapid increases in passenger levels, hopefully the airport leadership will keep the small airport feel and convenience without falling into the expansion trap that make the larger airports sterile and inconvenient. 2 small terminals is better than 1 big one.

Super Convenient to most of Southwest Florida. I live in the SE Cape and it is sometimes a faster trip to The Punta Gorda Airport, opposed to driving to RSW...!! With Allegiant the Host Airline, very nicely priced one-way non-stop trips to dozens of popular destinations in the US are plentiful. The Airport is small but well designed. Parking is super convenient and free for the first hour. And, the place is always very clean!! It really is a Gem for all of us!!

Very small quaint airport. Easy to get in and out of. No wait times at the ticket counter or TSA screening. Everyone and I mean everyone was really nice!!

The airport is convenient when traveling from Flint, MI to Punta Gorda, but this airport needs to get indoor/covered passenger boarding. Since passengers have to walk out to the plane without coverings, there is normally a delay due to lightning, especially in the summer months when it storms almost daily. It's frustrating to land then have to stay on the airplane because of a storm.

PGD is a great local airport. Everything is clean and well organized, the parking is spectacular (especially the short-term), the gates are clearly marked, and the intercom system is understandable! It’s bright, open, and easy. It’s also a great place to store your own plane, it hosts the air show and several other events on a yearly basis. I remember growing up and seeing the airport expand with time. Just went there to pick up a family member and it’s still a fantastic airport. 5 stars, 100%, etc etc.

I travel through here pretty frequently as my family lives in cape coral. This morning I dropped my boyfriend off to say goodbye as he had to go back home to ohio. There was nobody else at the drop off. We hugged for one minute and this old man security guard out front yelled at us and said “Come on guys! This is getting ridiculous. Hurry it up!” . . . I didnt know you weren’t allowed to say goodbye at the drop off. But i know it made me even more sad to say goodbye knowing it was spoiled by rude comments. Hate to admit it, but he made me cry. :( I think the airport is fantastic - you get through tsa really fast and its easy to find your gate. Aside from this experience and a few flight delays from time to time, it’s great.

Security is usually very nice and fast paced here. Usually no line at all, but today there was a lady checking boarding passes and holding up the line BEFORE the security line. Very rude and fighting with guests!! We always bring the same personal backpack and she was trying to get us to size it saying it was too big. Not friendly at all. I have never seen them do this before, but hopefully they stop.
