I have been with State Farm since 1972, and during that time, I've never had to file a claim for anything. Lucky? Perhaps. However, my luck ran out with Hurricane Helene, which flooded my vehicle with 5 feet of salt water, totaling it. The day after Helene passed our area, I called Mike Martin's office, and Mel Perez started a claim on my behalf. State Farm texted and emailed me that same day, informing me that they would start working on my claim. Their claim team reached out a couple of days later with towing information, asking if I needed a rental car, as per my policy, and arranged it with a location closest to me. My vehicle was towed away a few days before Hurricane Milton hit.
Making a long story short, I can not say enough about Mike Martin's agency, especially Mel Perez, who has been working all my home, auto, insurance policies since 2020, after moving into the area. In times of need, this is what you expect an agency to do for you, even though they themselves suffered through 2 hurricanes. As I type this, State Farm has prepared my settlement package, and I'm elated.
Above and Beyond efforts from all involved, and without any hesitation whatsoever, I recommend Mike Martin's State Farm Insurance Agency, Punta Gorda, to you. Thanks a million Mel, you have been a godsend!

Mike consistently reviews our business and personal policies to confirm we have just the right amount of insurance without wasting money on redundant and unnecessary coverages.When insurance companies were reluctant to write Hurricane coverage, Mike assured me he would find the best interim coverage until the marketplace reopened. Moved from another state and reached them to get some orientation and make changes on my policy, they clarified all my concerns and answered all questions i had. They were very patient and attentive, they also were great explaining and making sure i understood the changes on my policy.
