Nice building, but definitely a small time business with a small time feel. With a rookie curator, Ms. Hammock, it is struggling to get quality works and draw the attention she desires. The staff appear to be retirees, volunteering their time to help out as best they can, under the direction of Ms. Hammock.

I've been a member for several years. I love going in to just look at all the different art. They do a lot of showcases/exhibits for members and nonmembers to display their art and even have a chance at winning money. The first showcase I ever entered here (photography showcase) I won 1st place in. If you're looking for something new to do, and you appreciate all different types of art, go check it out. There's a gift shop, and they offer classes in a bunch of different types of art, I'm hoping to take on in Resin this year!

A gallery and teaching / learning center for all ages. Very nice facility with knowledgeable staff. Always treated like family.

We stopped by during a day trip down from Venice and how fortunate, 2 of the artists who are exhibiting were there. Some stunning work here, nice property and very friendly.

We attended the Charlotte County School System Visual Arts Show. They also have artists working so you can watch them create. The building is set up well and the display sreas were well thought out. The volunteers were amazing!

I have been taking classes at the VAC for years. It is a very rewarding experience. The VAC always has something going on. A vibrant organization of great people.

What a wonderful community resource.
If you like looking at art or purchasing art or making art, then this is your kind of place.
There are always some type of exhibitions happening from local artists to nationally known ones.
The gift shoppe may be small, but the art work is large in its statements.
There is a constant stream of various types of classes.
Jewelry making, pottery, water color painting just to mention a few.
Best news of all...it's free to get in.
The staff is lovely and extremely helpful.
Plenty of parking make this place a must see at least once every few weeks.

A great place to take art classes. The teachers (for the most part) are really friendly and encouraging and very talented. I'm learning alot. I've taken several classes and enjoyed all but one (had ahorrible experience in the resin art class). Will def sign up for more!!
