I want to express my extreme disappointment with the service I received yesterday, June 25, 2025, at your Home Depot location. As a disabled veteran and a Pro customer, I have consistently chosen Home Depot for my professional needs. However, my recent experience has forced me to reconsider that loyalty.
I visited your store to purchase two 4x4 pressure-treated lumber pieces and other materials for a client project. The 4x4 lumber is heavy and stored on a high shelf, making it difficult to access, especially when trying to find undamaged pieces. After struggling to locate suitable lumber, I approached an employee named Eric for assistance. He informed me that his partner was at lunch and he was unable to help.
Approximately 20 minutes later, after my son and I continued to search fruitlessly, I went to the front of the store to request help. To my dismay, I observed Eric engaged in a non-work-related conversation with two other employees. I confronted him, asking why he had declined to assist a paying customer yet had time for casual conversation. After I voiced my concerns, Eric simply walked back to the lumber department to assist another customer who only needed two small pieces of wood cut.
I then spoke with a manager, explaining the situation. I was told they would address the issue with Eric and was asked if I needed further assistance. I informed them that I would be taking my business to Lowe's, where I subsequently found all the materials I needed and received exceptional customer service.
This incident is unacceptable. The lack of assistance, the dismissive attitude of your employee, and the disregard for a customer's time and needs are deeply concerning. As someone who has relied on Home Depot for years, this experience has severely eroded my trust and loyalty. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and address these issues to prevent similar occurrences for other customers.

Try to save some time considering I have to go to Tampa what's my next job I needed somebody expandable lattice where's the fake foliage on it.! Well I can find it anywhere I know they have it there at that store cuz I seen it last week what really gets me going they only have one employee working in the garden department on a Sunday of all time when you should have more employees this is the worst experience I've ever had at my home away from home home Depot. Instead of making one stop I got to make two stops now at the home Depot in off of Dale mabry!

I believe that because I’m Black I must look like I’m incapable of scanning my items by myself or I must be STEALING . The customer service rep made me feel so uncomfortable ? My thing is this if you ( the company ) want to stop fraud and stealing just hire people to work registers not create self checkout if we’re going to be treated as criminals because of the color of our skin as a well educated black professional I’m highly disappointed in the service that was provided the young lady ( she has glasses and natural hair that works morning shift ) took the scanner out of my hands and scanned the items and first I was like maybe she’s new and want to help so I really didn’t care on of the items was in the incorrect place due to the overnight team being “ lazy “ and not doing their job correctly I stated to her that all 3 items was supposed to be the same they were stacked on top of each other when the other service rep put them in my cart for me because they were too heavy then I traveled back to the paint aisle to have the service rep switch out the product to the right product that I needed when I went back to the register I patiently waited my turn to ring my items myself and the same young lady decided to follow me to stand in-front of me to make sure I scanned everything in the cart when their was the cart when their was an older guy who actually needed help standing right behind me trying to get her attention to help him she insisted on racially profiling me I have a 30,000 credit card with this Company and own a renovations company I don’t need to take anything from anybody , when I spend my hard earned money in this establishment DAILY . IM HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED IN THE SERVICE AND CORE VAULES OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT .

Super clean store! And such friendly staff. We’ve shopped at dozens of HDs all through Georgia and Florida, and will definitely be coming to the one to get our supplies for clients.

So I bought two 42 in shop fans and the motor burned up in one just under a year but you can't buy any motors for the fans on them so instead of buying $150 motor you have to buy another $400 fan does this make sense to anybody else they can't even order it. Ridiculous.

The "RENTAL SERVICE" Manager at the HD in Riverview is unethical, and just plain stupid for his lack of foresight. All I can say is his pathetic and unscrupulous business dealings - over a $30 charge I didn't deserve - has to date cost Home Depot Corp. over $37,000 in new business (water treatment, tools, riding lawn mower sheds, etc.) from me in my new home in Syracuse. In fact, I gladly shop at other hardware stores 90 miles away rather than do business with Home Depot again.
If you are curious about my run in with this immoral moron continue reading below:
I was charged 12 hours of overtime use for an item that I attempted to return an hour before my contract was up BUT the store closed early that Sunday. MY invoice was in my new home in a pod 1300 miles away and the Rental Service Manager
I rented a pressure washer on Saturday at 6:41pm. The gentleman who rented it to me said I had 24 hours, - my invoice stated my return was at Sunday at 6:41pm. So, when I came by on Sunday at 5:50pm and the store opted to close early - I became a little concerned. I did make it inside the closed store to return the pressure washer but the Rental Service door was pulled down- so I took some photos with my phone (with time stamped photos) and returned home.
Returning home my "storage pod" with my office papers including the invoice from Saturday was shipped to my new location in Syracuse, NY.
I returned on Monday at 8:30am and was charged 12 hours of overtime use. I mentioned the closing early- -the service manager didn't care- I asked if HE could pull it up on his computer to show the time request about my 6:41pm - he wouldn't comply. So I wait- finally making it up to Syracuse with more stuff from my Tampa house- get my invoice out of my storage pod- come back to Tampa - bring in my invoices (rental out and rental in) and they say it's not real because they close at 8pm on Sunday. I show them the photos with time stamps -- still they "call me a liar" so I ask them to look on their calander to verivy when they closed----- OH WELL YES the store opted to close early - but now it's all about me taking longer than 30 days to return with my invoice-- the one Rental Manager guy could have pulled up in 10 seconds when I came in the following day. Piss on him, and farewell Home Depot.

It’s the worst to work with employees who don’t even want to be at work.
