I started attending JCT back in 2012! I was not a Christian at the time, but gave my life to Christ a couple months into attending. I was met with a ton of love and kindness and the space to ask questions and meet with the Holy Spirit. It has been that way since. If you’re looking for a church that is going to love you well, your family well, disciple you as you follow Christ, disciple and love your children, and equip you to live a life that glorifies Him- then Journey is it. My life, marriage, parenting, and family is forever changed because of the discipleship and community we have found here.

Today was the 4th time I attended Journey Church Tampa in person and I absolutely love it. I had a change of life event (divorce) that caused me to want to search for a new church as new beginnings has since been my theme. I researched churches close to me (and not so close to me) and I began to watch on YouTube and then listen to JCT on podcasts. It was my Monday morning ritual since the end of April. I was extremely nervous to show up at a new church in person so I put it off for a little bit. I traveled a bunch at the start of the summer. Then, I knew it was time to just make the move and get into a church building again. From the start, everyone was extremely friendly. The worship team is amazing , no matter who is up there , they are ALL amazing. There is nothing “showy” about this church. I feel a genuine sense of love for Jesus and the word and just good people. Pastor Michael preaches the word so well— it is real and it is inspiring. And listening to him for a couple of months is really when I knew I needed to go and be a part of this church. If biblical teaching, amazing worship, friendly people, and a pretty cool set up (circular with worship and preaching in the center) is what you are looking for this is where you need to be, too. They also have a lot of events and opportunities to do “life” together as a church body.

It has been a joy to call this church home. I'm not the same person because of how this church has helped deepen my relationship with Jesus, and it's exciting to see how this community is shaping my family too.

It's hard to put into words how incredibly thankful I am for this church! JCT has shown me what it means to live a life for Jesus and how to do walk that out in community.

Red flag.
I emailed them asking about their doctrinal statement missing from their website, figured I'd just ask them directly, but they completely ignored it. Jesus was very clear about doctrine and it's importance. This is likely a 501c3 business, and I call it a business because they aren't concerned with doctrine, only money. This is an important observation to make because if doctrine doesn't matter to them enough to respond to one person, it means they're either too (big) "mega church" mentality to answer a single person, or it's a heretical church according to (2 Peter 2:1-3), and in this passage it specifically mentions the business owners who teach falsely also making the people their merchandise. In other words, if you go here, you're just a number who pays them.
