Great experience!!! Empathetic and very helpful. I would highly recommend this vet! I am very pleased with everything. Pricing is very down to earth which is very difficult to find now a days. A very big thank you to the entire staff.

Went on two occasions about an item in my dogs paw. I was told both times that there was nothing in his paw and they try to set me up on joint meds because they said joint problems are common for this dog breed. I could tell from his running and walking that it was not in the joints but definitely something in the paw. Well finally after 3 months of wrapping, soaking and putting drawing cream on his paw, finally a thorn came out. He is now at 100%, note to staff don’t be so lazy and actually check what patient asks.

Awful staff! They make you take a multiple tests and still they can not come up w a diagnosis! They bill you over what the estimates they provid you...ripp off vet they do not know what they are doing. The only decent person is Raul, technician. Avoid this place.

Absolutely love the vet staff here! They all are so friendly but above all caring for our dogs. We got to know the staff here over the course of a year with caring for our senior dog and they are incredible. They remembered our dog and celebrated with him for simple milestones like walking through the front door. We could tell the loved him like we did and as a pet parent I love seeing that level of personal care for my dogs. We bring all our dogs to this office because of that level of care and trust we have developed with them. Dr. Vargo is the absolute best! You can tell she cares for her patients and wants to really educate the pet parents about what is going on with your pet and how best to help them if there is an issue.

She is a happy dog so therefore I am a happy owner. Complex skin issues but doing well at Riverview Veterinary Hospital. They are involved in listening and not just talking at you. Thank you!!

I was loyal to them for 20 years before they moved offices. They sent me cards and schedule I did my not make the app now I can no longer make app because of the no call no show on them not me now that making me and my dog waiting all day to be seen that are not the family owned catering business that use to be such a shame I told them my dog was having a allergic reaction. They try to schedule me two weeks out.

It is unfortunate that I have to write this review because I’ve always had a positive experience with the veterinary staff at this hospital. This review is a reflection of the front desk staff personal who answered the phone on this Friday afternoon 3/15/24. I called to reschedule an existing appointment for my pet since unfortunately I was not able to get the time off work needed for his appointment next Friday and to get an updated food prescription. The receptionist was helpful until she had to speak with the veterinarian to get permission to fill the prescription since it had been more than one year since my pets appointment (understandable). When she returned to the phone, she let me know the vet said no because they haven’t seen my pet in a few months over the year mark. When I explained that I had purchased food from them after this time, her entire demeanor had changed. She was rude and condescending and said there was nothing they could do for me since he’s technically not a patient since his appointment was 4 months over the year mark. I went on to explain that he has been on the same food for the past 9 years and he has been seeing the same vet for the past 4 years to which she responded “it doesn’t matter, there’s nothing I can do and I have to go”and literally HANGED UP the phone. She didn’t even give me the opportunity to review their openings for the coming week as my pet will need a food within the week and we could have tried to make another day work. I understand if the policy changed but the fact that she offered zero solutions and hanged up before we could even look at other options, is completely unacceptable. My pet has been a loyal patient of this hospital for multiple years now and to have shown ZERO regards for his health is extremely disappointing. I hope management sees this review and reaches out to me regarding this incident, as this is not the way front staff should be speaking to customers, let alone when I would need a solution soon. I am left extremely disappointed and will be reconsidering whether I will continue to use Riverview Veterinary Hospital in the future.

I’ve been going to Riverview Vet for years and I’m just obsessed with them! I’ve moved around in Tampa and tried other vets but no one compares to their team. I always end up back with them even if I have to drive the distance. Their staff is just a great group of individuals, who genuinely care about you and your pets well being. I have an aggressive/fearful little male dog and they have helped me get through figuring out the root cause of his behavior. They have also treated my other fur babies with so much love and care. Thankful for this group and highly recommend making this your families go to vet team.
